'Dami Le Watani campaign' for blood donation during Ramadan

Dubai, Jun 17: Few enthusiastic members of Tulunadu with the wise leadership of Balakrishna Salian, Vice President of Mogaveers UAE have taken live interest in the blood donation campaign which is successfully running from many years now.

Their tireless support for this humanitarian cause is not only been applauded by various Community Associations of Karnataka but also by the Blood Donation Centre at Latifa Hospital and Al Ameen Dubai. Mogaveers UAE and Bala Salian would like to dedicate all the appreciation and success to the donors.

Serving this cause is a service to humanity in the nation where we live in for our livelihood.

Due to the current shortage of blood during Ramadan, the Blood Donation Center, Dubai have humbly requested these volunteers to support them with more blood donations during the holy Ramadan month. With this call the team have successfully booked almost 4 to 6 Community organisations of Karnataka for the blood donation during holy Ramadan.

The booked dates by the organisations, during Ramadan are:

11/7/2013 – Thiya Samaj UAE - 7:30 to 10 Pm

18/7/2013 – Konkan Bells UAE - 7:30 to 10 Pm

25/7/2013 – Vishwakarma Seva Samithi UAE - 7:30 to 10 Pm

More is needed and here comes request to all the Indian and Karnataka associations to come forward voluntarily for this great cause and donate blood during Ramadan.

Currently available timings and dates:

14th ,15th ,21st , 22nd, 23rd ,24th , 28th &  31st of July, 2013 &  4th & 5th of August 7:30pm to 10:00pm

Mogaveers UAE, hereby request all the Indian and specially Karnataka Associations and Community people to come forward for this noble humanitarian cause. There are 650 Children/adults who are suffering from rare disease (Thalassemia) and they need 75 units of Blood per day.

Other than that there are accident cases, heavy bleeding on daily basis including requirement for cancer/leukaemia patients. They also need blood for other Emirates inlcuding Sharjah and Ajman.

So there is a huge need for more Blood and it is our duty to save life by donating blood.  Donating blood would also decrease the possibility of having heart diseases and strokes. It also activates the bone marrow to produce new blood cells; hence please come forward and donate with love.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Riyadh: Cricket Lovers are all geared up for the newly launched franchise based tournament - Kingdom Premier League (KPL) 2020 under the banner of Mangaluru Cricket Association (MCA) Riyadh.

SAQCO –SAAD AL QAHTANI CONTRACTING is the Mega Sponsor for the event and PARAMOUNT is the CO Sponsor.

The 6-team tournament is being played at MCA Grounds on Exit 18 in Riyadh beginning from 14 Feb and shall end on 20 March.

The Opening ceremony took place on AL-Mas Restaurant in Riyadh. The trophy launching as well as Jersey launching took place at the same event. Guests from various companies including SAQCO were present.

All teams will play at least one league Match against every other team. Top 4 teams in the table will qualify to play for the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator. The Winner of Qualifier 1 will be heading towards the final and the 2nd finalist will be the winner Qualifier 2 (Played between loser of Qualifier 1 and Winner of Eliminator). The Finals will be played on 20th March.

Kuwait: Eid is usually a time of family get-togethers and feasts after weeks of dawn-to-dusk fasting. But this year people celebrated at home, with virus fears dampening the holiday spirit and strict restrictions in place.

Kuwait went under full curfew before the start of Ramadan leaving people to practice fasting and Ramadan rituals at home, Even Eid al-Fitr came under full lock-down period.

As situation demanded, IMA Kuwait celebrated the Eid Get-together online via video conferencing tool, All IMA members participated joyfully in Eid Milan online gathering which was scheduled immediately after Eid prayer. Members participated and congratulated each other on the eve of Eid.

The IMA president Shamvel Parviz addressed the gathering and thanked them for joining online for this unique Eid celebration which will be remembered in history. He also advised members to be aware of conditions of neighbors, friends and family and assist them if they need help in this difficult time.

Eid al-Fitr follows weeks of fasting and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Thousands of Muslims all over Kuwait followed strict guideline and performed Eid prayer at home along with their family.

As a part of social service activities IMA also distributed ration kits before start of Ramadan and during Ramadan for needy people all over Kuwait.
