Mogaveers UAE holds Satyanarayana Pooja in Dubai

Dubai, Jul 1: Mogaveers UAE under the leadership of President L.V. Puthran and Vice President Bala Salian recently held a Satyanarayana Pooja at Karama Centre, Dubai.

Purohit Bhujang Bhat conducted the pooja formalities devotionally and Shashidhar Kotian & Vasudha Kotian couple sat on the pedestal on behalf of Mogaveer community to accept the pooja formalities. It started with lighting the lamp by Neetha Puthran, Indira Trilok, Nalini Deepak, Deepa Puthran & Viveka during the prathistapane.

Devotees not only from Mogaveer community all over UAE but also community leaders and members of various other community associations gathered on this auspices day to get blessed by almighty.

One of the greatest singer from the community, Hemachandra Yermal was flown in from India to present devotional songs along with his group.  He presented impressive devotional songs in his golden voice melodiously which gave a devine touch to the pooja and was very well applauded by all the devotees who sang along with him cheering and humming.  Pramod Karkera accompanies him with tabla while Sachin Raj Gujran provided tala and Raghu Jathan played the harmonium.  Mogaveer community members accompanied them with some rich devotional bhajans soulfully.

The pooja and 'Katha' went on until 8.30 PM and later was Maha Mangalarathi followed by 'Maha Prasada' distribution and all the devotees queued up systematically to attain blessings.

Followed was sumptuous vegetarian buffet maha prasada distributed by Royal Garden Restaurant savored by all the devotees present.

All the members of Mogaveers UAE have vibrantly worked together with great spirits in making this pooja a great success.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.
