Jam’iyyautul Falah NRCC mid -term meeting held in Jubail

Jubail, Oct 26: The Non Resident Co-operation Council (NRCC) overseas ruling body of Jam’iyyautul Falah (JF) which supervises the four units Jeddah, Dammam, Riyadh and Jubail in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a mid-term meeting for the year 2013-24 at Cook Xon Restaurant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia on Friday 11th October 2013 after Jumah Prayer.

From each unit two representatives are involved in the body headed by NRCC Ameer.

The NRCC meetings are held twice in a year to analyze the overall activities of Jam’iyyatul Falah back home and to facilitate smooth functioning of the units in Kingdom.

The meeting was presided by NRCC Ameer Br.Akhtar Shaikh, Riyadh unit.The following delegations were attended from three units.

Also around 25 other members and guests from Jubail and Dammam unit were witnessed the meeting.

The proceedings of the meeting began with Qirath by Mohammed Ishaq who stressed our active involvement in charity organizations. He emphasized the unity of Jam’iyyatul Falah is the key of overall success and celebrating silver Jubilee. Saleem Shaikh, president of host unit Jubail welcomed all NRCC delegations,Jubail unit members and guests.

NRCC Ameer Akhtar Shaikh in his address highlighted the importance of community service and also appreciated the dedication of all the units in the kingdom. He requested all the members continue to work as a team for further development of the Jam’iyyatulFalah.

The minutes of last NRCC meeting held on 23rd April 2013 at Jeddah presented by Mansoor Ali Ahmed,president-Dammam unit. Further the Ameer briefed on all action points and status of project related issued listed in minutes. On the occasion of silver Jubilee celebration Jam’iyyatul Falah is proud to announce completion of some major tasks.

  • CDC hostel two floors were constructed,all rooms are fully occupied by students and some students are waitlisted.
  • Adkare Padavu school land registered.
  • JF obtained tax exemption from IT Dept.
  • JF dynamic website development in progress and expected to launch prior silver Jubilee closing celebration.
  • Last stage preparations in progress for Silver Jubilee celebration closing ceremony which will be held end of Dec 2013 including 2 days programme at JF CDC hall and final day program at Town Hall, Mangalore
  • Appointed paid Administrator for JF Head Quarters, Mangalore for smooth functioning and to avail the maximum benefits provided by Central and state Govt. for minorities.

Mansoor Ali Ahmed, President of Dammam unit honored & facilitated by Akthar Shaikh - NRCC Ameer to Mohammed Farook of Jubail unit and Arif of Jeddah unit with certification of appreciation for mutual co-operation in collecting Ramadan kits.

Head of each unit shared their opinion each other to improve the activities and finally Ameer concluded this part by valuable suggestions.

The next NRCC meeting will be held during April 2014 at Riyadh. Meeting concluded with vote of thanks by Rafi Shaikh, Treasurer of Jubail unit.

In a humanitarian gesture to help fellow citizens in distress, the first in the series of chartered 
flights arranged by Thumbay Group, UAE and the Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF) Trust, 
Mangalore to repatriate stranded Kannadigas in the UAE took off from Ras Al Khaimah 
International Airport in the wee hours of 21st July 2020. The flight was fully occupied, with 186 passengers, all of them desperate to fly back to India for various reasons.

The initiative was conceived and implemented under the leadership of Dr. Thumbay Moideen - Founder President of Thumbay Group & Founder Patron of BCF and Dr. B K Yusuf, the 
President of BCF. The flight was organized on a purely charitable basis, with all necessary 
steps and precautions in place to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers. Thumbay Group assigned its fleet of buses to transport the passengers free of charge from their residences in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman to the airport. The organizers also provided free meals and refreshments to the passengers, in addition to PPE kits and face-shields distributed free of 
charges.

The passengers on the first flight included many elderly individuals, people with serious 
illnesses like heart-related health issues and diabetes, pregnant ladies and little children as well as people who had lost their jobs and those with expired visas. Dr. B K Yusuf – BCF President, Dr. Kaup Mohammed - BCF General Secretary, other office bearers of BCF, as well as Thumbay Group’s representatives Mr. Farhad C – Director of the Hospitality Division of 
Thumbay Group and Engr. Farwaz P. C. – COO of the Construction Division were present at 
the airport to see off the first group of passengers.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Thumbay Moideen said, “This joint initiative of Thumbay 
Group and BCF is to support our fellow Kannadigas desperate to fly back home. We are happy that we have been able to reach out to many of them, to help them fly home to their families. We thank the Governments of the UAE and India, and the Indian Consulate, Dubai, for their support in making this happen. In the coming days, many more stranded Kannadigas would be repatriated under this joint initiative.”
Dr. B K Yusuf thanked Dr. Thumbay Moideen and the office-bearers and members of BCF for 
their efforts to make the initiative a success.

“We are proud that this initiative has brought relief to many Kannadigas and their families today. BCF is grateful to Thumbay Group for its support and partnership for all our humanitarian programs for the support of the needy.”

Dr. Kaup Mohammed said that it was a matter of pride that the much-awaited Thumbay-BCF 
repatriation flight had been carried out successfully. “Measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the flight and its passengers throughout the journey,” he said. He also thanked all the social organizations including Bhatkal Jamath, BCCI, BWF, KCF, DKSC, Kodagu Kannadigas, 
Kannadiga Help Line, Dubai Konkans and KSS, for their support. He specially thanked Mr. 
Syed Hassan Razeen, the owner of ARISTOCRAT Travels for his support in the ticketing, 
boarding and related processes. On behalf of Milano Optics Group and Maxcare, free gift 
hampers were distributed to selected passengers.

The passengers were received at Mangalore airport under the leadership of Mr. Mumtaz Ali - patron of BCF and other distinguished personalities of Mangalore including Mr. Moidin Bava - former MLA, Mr U. T. Ifthikhar, Mr. S. M. R Rashid - President of BCCI central committee and many others. The passengers were transferred to the hotels where they had registered for the mandatory quarantine.

The second flight under this joint initiative is scheduled to take-off from Ras Al Khaimah airport to Mangalore on 24th July 2020. A few more similar repatriation flights are to soon follow, in the coming weeks.

Dubai, Aug 7: ‘Nama Tuluve’ Purushotham Salian, a staunch stalwart who always supported humanity and a strong pillar for Tuluvas in Dubai, passed away August, 4 at Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain some time ago. He was on the last stage of illness which was not detected earlier.

His funeral last rites were conducted on Thursday August 7 at Jebel Ali cemetery in Hindu rites with a few of his family members present. Due to Covid pandemic, neither his body was able to be flown back to hometown nor could his two children come down to attend the funeral. However, it was said that his wish was to be cremated here in Dubai which unknowingly sometime back he whispered to one of his friends.

Purushotham had few years ago, survived a heart attack and fought back his life, though it had a minor paralytic effect on him. Even though, till recently he used to do his day-to-day work normally. He was a hard working personality and owned a readymade garment shop in Ajman and Dubai mostly taking care of clients with requirement of uniforms and coveralls. His dedication towards work was always appreciated by his clients who used to get their things delivered on time always.

He was never a publicity person and was helping the poor and needy in whatever ways he could silently. He strongly supported the community and was associated with Nama Tuluveru and Billawa community with commitment. He used to voluntarily come forward for the ground work of various functions of the community and used to be there until it was done perfectly.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.
