New Delhi, Feb 25: Moises Henriques batted brilliantly in the pressure to make India bat again as he helped Australia surpass 192-run trail on the fourth day of the first Test at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Debutant Henriques shone again with the bat in the second innings, smashing a six over long on to complete his half century. He also scored a fifty in first innings and added century stand with skipper Michael Clarke to help Australia reach 380.

Ravichandran Ashwin continued his red hot form, clinching another five-wicket haul in the match to take India closer to victory on the penultimate day.

Australia lost their seventh wicket when Ravindra Jadeja clean bowled Peter Siddle, who looked to play a slog sweep but missed the straight delivery.

Ashwin registered a ten-wicket haul when he trapped captain Michael Clarke plumb in front of the wicket on the third ball after tea.

Ashwin bowled a loopy delivery outside off on a length area that hit the rough patch and spun in viciously. Clarke rocked back but didn't even get a second to bring his bat down in time as the ball struck the pad.

Harbhajan Singh took his second wicket when he clean bowled Matthew Wade as Australia lost half of their side.

Wade went for a slog sweep to a delivery from outside off-stump but didn't connect as the ball sneaked through and struck timber.

Harbhajan took his first wicket when he trapped David Warner plumb in front of the wicket.

Harbhajan bowled a full delivery on middle, Warner tried to defend it down off the front foot but he failed to connect and got struck on the pads.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Ed Cowan and Phillip Hughes respectively to leave Australia tottering at 65/3.

Ashwin struck again in the post lunch session as he broke the second wicket stand between Cowan and Warner by removing the former for patient 32 off 97 balls.

Australia suffered another blow in the next over when another southpaw Hughes was caught at slip by Virender Sehwag.

Trailing India by 158 runs, Ed Cowan and David Warner resumed Australia's second innings after lunch on the penultimate day.

R Ashwin dismissed Australian opener Shane Watson at the stroke of lunch to strengthen India's grip on the Test.

Ashwin bowled a flighted, slower delivery, wide outside off-stump and Watson first looked to play a defensive shot but was not close to the pitch of the ball that turned and bounced off the shoulder of the bat for an easy catch to Virender Sehwag at first slip.

Earlier, India gained a valuable 192-run lead as their first innings ended at 572 runs.

The Indian first innings ended when Peter Siddle had Bhuvneshwar Kumar (38) caught by captain Michael Clarke at mid-off off a slower delivery.

MS Dhoni registered the highest score by an Indian captain in Test cricket before falling to James Pattinson.

Pattinson had Dhoni caught behind by Matthew Wade off a bouncer which the Indian captain tried to hook but got only an edge.

Dhoni's 224-run knock was studded with 6 sixes and 24 fours.

The breakthrough came after Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar resumed the Indian first innings to start play on Day 4.

On Day 3, a maiden double hundred by Dhoni and Virat Kohli's fourth century flattened Australia as India finished at 515/8 with a lead of 135 runs.

New Delhi, Feb 5: IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has denied any financial dealings with the controversial Rose Valley Group except for it being a sponsor of the side's official jerseys in 2012 and 2013.

KKR issued the clarification after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached Rose Valley's assets worth over Rs 70 crore on Monday. The attached assets include Rs 11.87 crore bank deposits of Knight Riders Sports Pvt Ltd, that owns KKR, in connection with a money laundering probe.

The franchise said it hopes for the matter to be resolved expeditiously.

"Rose Valley Hotels was one of KKR's IPL jersey sponsors for IPL seasons 2012 and 2013. Rose Valley had paid KKR an approx. amount of Rs 11.87 crore as sponsorship fees," KKR CEO Venky Mysore said in a statement.

"KKR had no other dealings with the Rose Valley Group including Rose Valley’s micro finance business," he added.

The statement added that in July last year, KRSPL (Knight Riders Sports Pvt Ltd), received a "witness summon" from the ED in connection with an investigation relating to the Rose Valley Group, particularly its micro finance business.

"The ED continues the investigation of Rose Valley. KKR continues to cooperate with the authorities in all respects," Mysore said.

"As part of the investigative process, sometime in October 2019, the ED placed a lien on the said amount earlier paid by Rose Valley to KKR," he asserted.

The directors of KRSPL include Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan, actor Juhi Chawla's husband Jay Mehta, Mysore and two others.

Mysore was questioned in this case by ED's Kolkata office in October last year.

Apart from KRSPL, the ED attached properties of two other entities -- Multiple Resorts Pvt. Ltd. and Kolkata's St Xavier's College on Monday.

The ED registered an FIR against the Rose Valley group, its chairman Gautam Kundu and others under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in 2014.

Kundu was arrested by the agency in Kolkata in 2015 and is in judicial custody at present.

The ED has filed multiple charge sheets in Kolkata and Bhubaneswar courts in this connection and total attachments are now worth Rs 4,750 crore.

The group has been charged by the ED and the CBI with "illegally and fraudulently collecting deposits from public with the intention to cheat them by falsely promising high returns on their investment", thereby perpetrating a ponzi-like fraud.

Los Angeles, Feb 14: Tributes to the late Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers legend who died last month in a helicopter crash, will play a major role in Sunday's 69th NBA All-Star Game.

This year's annual showcase of league talent will be played in Chicago and feature numerous nods to Bryant, a five-time NBA champion who also matched a league record with four NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player awards.

Bryant, an 18-time NBA All-Star, died at age 41 on January 26 in a crash near Los Angeles that also took the life of his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others.

All-Star teams guided by LeBron James of the Lakers and Greek star Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks will compete to win each of the first three quarters, which will all start 0-0 and last 12 minutes.

At the start of the fourth quarter, the clock will be turned off and a final target score will be established by taking the leading club's cumulative score through the first three quarters and adding 24 points -- the number representing the jersey number worn by Bryant for the final 10 seasons of his NBA career.

The first team to reach the cumulative target score will win the NBA All-Star Game.

All-Star Game jerseys will also honor Bryant and his daughter.

Team Giannis players will wear jersey number 24 in tribute to Kobe while Team LeBron players will wear jersey number two, the number his daughter wore when playing youth basketball.

Both teams will wear jersey patches displaying nine stars, representing the nine people who were killed in the crash.

Academy Award-winning actress and Grammy Award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson, a Chicago native, will perform a special tribute to Bryant, his daughter and the others who were killed in the crash. Her performance will begin the night ahead of the player introductions.

James and Antetokounmpo each chose their squads from available starters and reserves voted and selected to the All-Star contest.

Team LeBron starters will include James, his Lakers teammate Anthony Davis, NBA scoring leader James Harden of Houston, Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers and Slovenian guard Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks.

Team Giannis starters include the Greek big man, Cameroon stars Joel Embiid of Philadelphia and Pascal Siakam of Toronto and guards Kemba Walker of Boston and Trae Young of Atlanta.

A record eight All-Star Game players from outside the United States also include Frenchman Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz on Team Giannis and Team LeBron reserves Ben Simmons of Australia and the Philadelphia 76ers, Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis of Indiana and Serbian Nikola Jokic of Denver.

London, Apr 8: England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler has raised more than 65,000 pound (USD 80,000) to help fight the coronavirus by auctioning off his World Cup final shirt.

Buttler's shirt, which he wore when completing the last-ball run-out that saw England beat New Zealand at Lord's last year, was sold to raise money for specialist heart and lung centres provided by the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals in London.

Buttler, who earlier in the showpiece match had hit a fifty and batted in the Super Over, put his long-sleeve keeping jersey up for sale on eBay a week ago.

By the time the auction closed on Tuesday, the shirt had attracted 82 bids with the winner paying 65,100 pound.

Buttler, speaking on Monday, said: "It's a very special shirt but I think it takes on extra meaning with it being able to hopefully go to the emergency cause.
