NRI Suresh Shyam Rao Neramballi conferred with Aryabhata International Award

Bengaluru: In the 44th annual Aryabhata international award ceremony that was held recently at Ravindra Kalakshetra of Bengaluru under the joint auspices of Aryabhata cultural organization and Kannada and cultural department of government of Karnataka, Suresh Shyam Rao Neramballi was awarded the prestigious Aryabhata international award of this year for his relentless service towards the Kannada land, language and culture, especially in the social field.

Suresh S Rao Neramballi is serving the society as a member of executive committees of various organizations in Kuwait for the past 17 years. He is also a Kannada and Tulu movie distributor and actively involved in literature, culture and social work.

Nagamohan Das, retired judge of high court, Dr. Mahesh Joshi, S. A.Channegowda, president of Karnataka state commercial movies association, Dr. H.L.N. Rao, founder president of Aryabhata cultural organization were present on the occasion and conferred the coveted award to Suresh S. Rao Neramballi.

Suresh S. Rao Neramballi works as a freelance reporter and news translator from Kuwait for various dailies, web news portals and electronic media.

Krishnagiri, Feb 24: Vidya Rani, daughter of dead sandalwood smuggler Veerappan, joined the BJP on Saturday at an event organised in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri.

Party general secretary Muralidhar Rao and former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan were present at the event.

"I want to work for the poor and underprivileged irrespective of their caste and religion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's schemes are for the people and I want to take them to the people," said Vidya Rani.

Besides Vidya Rani, the event saw as many as 1,000 members from other political parties join the BJP.

Bengaluru, Jan 22: The suspected man in planting of a live bomb at the Mangaluru International Airport surrendered before the DG and IG of Karnataka Police, Neelamani Raju, here on Wednesday, police sources said.

The accused was identified as Aditya Rao, a resident of Udupi.

The accused was taken for questioning by the Halasurugate Police, where he was being interrogated intensively, the sources further said.

According to them, he confessed that he planted an explosive device at Mangaluru Airport on Monday said that it was an act of revenge for denying him an employment by the Kempegowda International Airport Limited (KIAL).

He was arrested by the Bengaluru police in the past for making a hoax call to the police stating that a bomb had been planted at the Bengaluru Airport.

Karnataka Home minister Basavaraj Bommai told the media that 'the Bengaluru police have taken the custody of Aditya Rao, who is being subjected for a thorough interrogation'.

The Mangaluru police was also likely to join the Bengaluru police into the investigation, the sources added.

This would have been a false flag operation, if he was not caught, they would have been an explosions and Dr.police would have put muslim youths behind bars...or that was the intention/plan but due to unforseen reasons failed......i hope someone comes out with the truth..

Bomb has weaken once bomber name appears. Now time for fact finding, family emotions, personal attachments etc. If he was Muslim it would have connected to ISIS, Anti-CAA, Pakistan, Kerala..

Belgaum, Feb 24: Around 20 people entered a boys' hostel premises in Karnataka's Belgaum with rods and bats and destroyed properties allegedly over ragging of a girl by two hostel residents.

The incident took place on February 23 and was captured in the CCTV camera.

According to Belgaum Police, a gang of 20 people entered Dr BR Ambedkar post metric hostel premises in Belgaum with rods and bats. The group destroyed the properties of hostel, bikes, and scooters.

Police said this is an issue of ragging and during the incident, no students were injured.

Further, the investigation is underway.
