Makkah, Oct 7:  India Fraternity Forum has deployed more than 1000 volunteers in this year also. Forum started its service right from the first day of arrival of Indian Haj flight in Jeddah. Volunteers were present in Jeddah Airport to receive the hajis in the airport and helped them to complete the formalities.

IFF extends its service to Hajis in Makkah till the end of Haj season. The services include guiding Hajis to their accommodations in Makkah and Aziziah, taking sick hajis to the hospitals and clinics, distributing water on hot days etc. We have deployed about 100 volunteers in Makkah for this purpose.

Mina service started on 8th Dul Hijja helped the pilgrims to find out their tents inside mina.  On 8th evening, volunteers proceeded to Arafat for continuing the service. This year, we have given more concentration in Arafat deploying 200 volunteers and it is found very useful for hajis. Since the tents are not organized like mina, and hajis are going out of their tents to pray in Masjid Namirah or Jabal Rahma, they are losing their directions and found wandering in the streets.  We could see such hajis till late midnight. From 10th Dil Hijja, more than 1000 volunteers engaged in Mina and Aziziah.

The volunteer service managed by dividing the total volunteers to two groups, 1 group is to work in the field and the second group is to take care of tent issues. 50 ladies volunteers joined in the service for 2 days, on 10th and 11th Dul Hijja.  They have visited all Indian Female Tents giving them medical assistance.  They have carried the sick people to the hospital.  They found many sick ladies lying in the tents without getting proper attention because of communication issues.  Some of the patients are taken to Intensive care units. A team of about 50 students from Students Fraternity joined in the service on 11th Dul Hijjah.  They served in Mashaer train stations, directing them to their tents and assisting them to get on wheel chairs. The map designed by IFF is widely used in Mina by Indian Haj mission and all volunteer organizations. We have done a help desk arrangement in Jeddah to report all missing Indian hajis and found cases.  There were 59 missing cases from 6 different states and 9 were found from Muzdalifa and different places in Mina.

Volunteer service is organized by a committee with Eng. Mudassar Naser as convener, Abdul Raoof - Jt. Convener, Mohammed Ali - volunteer captain.
