Bengaluru, Dec 3: Leaders of VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) and other right-wing organisations threatened the BJP government on Sunday that if it did not bring an ordinance to build Ram Temple in Ayodhya, as aspired by 'every Hindu' after the courts had delayed the wish of the major community.

In a meeting organised by VHP in the city on Sunday, a number of religious heads participated besides office bearers of organisations including RSS.

Speaking at the event Udupi Pejavar Mutt seer Vishvesha Thirtha threatened to undertake a fast if the government did not help pave the way for building Ram temple in Ayodhya, by bringing an ordinance.

Addressing the 'Janagraha Sabha' rally at the National College Grounds organised by VHP to demand the union government to meet the long standing wish of construction of the temple, the Pejawar seer said time was running out for the governments before they fulfilled the popular sentiment.

"Let us launch a hunger strike if Prime Minister Narendra Modi do not heed to our wishes."

In this scientific age still people believe proofless stories.

No proof at all in any form to support Ramayana story.

Though in the story of so said Ramayan, Ram's father king Dasharatha married 4wives,

where No so called religion permits to marry more than 1.  This seems to be Dasharatha may be Muslim.

His children might be Muslims.

So naturally all followers of Ram should follow ISLAM.

Bengaluru, Apr 1: The price of petrol and diesel will go up by Rs 1.60 and Rs 1.59 per litre, respectively, from Wednesday. This is in line with Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s decision to hike the rate of tax on petrol from 32% to 35% and diesel from 21% to 24%.

He had announced this in his March 5 Budget for 2020-21 fiscal. At present, a litre of petrol costs Rs 71.97 and diesel Rs 64.41 in Bengaluru.

The government decided to roll out the hike from Tuesday midnight going into Wednesday, April 1, after briefly considering a postponement in view of the COVID-19 crisis.

Finance Secretary (Budget & Resources) Ekroop Caur confirmed to DH that the hike will be rolled out.

The 3% hike on fuel tax was a key resource mobilisation measure that Yediyurappa announced in his Budget. The hike is expected to fetch the government Rs 1,500 crore.

Yediyurappa had also announced a 6% additional excise duty on Indian Made Liquor (IML), which could help the government mop up Rs 1,200 crore. However, the sale of liquor has been prohibited during the lockdown period. Plus, hiking fuel prices during the lockdown will not hit citizens very hard.

Bengaluru, May 22: Amid the fourth phase of nationwide COVID-19 lockdown, inter-state travel from Karnataka is now permitted with the consent of the receiving state, informed Praveen Sood, Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) and Inspector General (IG).

"Inter-state pass is not required to go out of Karnataka as long as you have the consent of the receiving state," he said.

The order follows MHA's recent announcement of relaxed guidelines amid the nationwide lockdown.

"Due to lockdown, migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons are stranded at different places. They would be allowed to move as under," read the new guidelines while asking states to designate nodal authorities to facilitate the interstate movement.

The Centre has extended the lockdown till May 31 across the country.
