Mangaluru, Oct 14: Deputy Commissioner Dr K G Jagadeesha, who has been transferred after a year long stint in Dakshina Kannada, was given a fond farewell by the district administration and police department in the city.
Dr Jagadeesha, who has been posted as the Director of Mines and Geology Department, Bengaluru, speaking on the occasion, said that he was indebted to the affection showered on him by the people of the coastal district.
He confessed that had a wonderful experience in the coastal district where according to him people abide by the law with great respect.
“Governance becomes successful only when the machinery, right from the bottom to the top, works in tandem and with honesty. I am grateful to you all for the support,” he said.
In his felicitation address, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar said that Mr. Jagadeesha worked with great discipline having adopted the same in planning as well as execution. He used to hear public grievances patiently and address them effectively.
Police Commissioner T R Suresh presided over the event attended among others by Superintendent of Police C H Sudheer Kumar Reddy, Zilla Panchayat CEO M R Ravi, Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Mohammed Nazeer and other senior officials.
