Priyanka Chopra lambasts Trump for his call to ban Muslim immigrants

New York, Apr 27: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, a star of "Quantico" - an American TV series on fighting terror - has slammed Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump's call to ban Muslim immigrants from the US.

Ms Chopra shared her views about the battle against extremism, which has come up repeatedly in the 2016 presidential race, at the TIME 100 gala on Tuesday night in New York, reports time.com.

Ms Chopra's name has been featured in Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the world alongside Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, singer Nicki Minaj and Donald Trump.

"I just think you can't put a ban on anyone. Generalising a type of people is really primitive," Ms Chopra said.

She said the fight against terrorism had grown so complex that "you can't put a face on it any more".

After her role of FBI agent Alex Parrish in "Quantico", Ms Chopra landed a role in "Baywatch" alongside Hollywood A-listers Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.

Rahul you cant blame any religion Mr. Rahul did you visited or you have attended any of Muslim Community class no than how could you say we Muslims Teach negatives.
You can attended any of our class to see what we teach we teach about peace and love not hate others in Islam in Holy Quran not written to hate others not only in Quran in Bible and also in Ramayana and Mahabharat in all Religion Holy book only written about love not to hate Humanity . Anyone can visit any of Muslim Class any part of the world to know what we teach no one want to know about Islam just want to blame Islam only because of some illiterate people in our Islam .In this case even you also teach negatives we can this we don't because we know that people who teach negatives they are not ready to understand there religion because of there EGO because of this they are illiterate

Mangaluru, May 5: The Dakshina Kannada district administration has denotified two containment zones, Sampya in Puttur and Thumbe in Bantwal. They were declared containment zones after one coronavirus positive case was reported from each area.

All the primary and secondary contacts of the patients have completed home quarantine period, said DC Sindhu B Rupesh.

The district administration hitherto had already denotified three other such containment zones based on a report of DHO,  after no new case was reported in the area in the last 28 days.

At present, the district has six containment zones-- Shakthinagara, Boloor, First Neuro Hospital in Mangaluru city, Uppinangady in Puttur, Kasaba and Narikombu in Bantwal taluk.

Wayanad, April 7: The Kerala government has allowed people from border villages of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to use medical facilities at Wayanad.

"We have opened our borders to people from neighbouring states who require medical facilities in Kerala. Twenty-nine people from Bairakuppa in Karnataka have used medical facilities in Wayanad and 44 from Tamil Nadu," Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Monday.

Bairakuppa, a small village in Karnataka, is separated by the river Kabini from Wayanad district and the residents there depend on the healthcare facilities available in Wayanad.

Speaking to news agency, Adeela Abdulla, District Collector of Wayanad, said that instructions have been issued to allow people from neighbouring states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, who need medical facilities, to cross the border.

"Right from the start of the lockdown, we have not restricted individuals from Bairakuppa region in Mysore district to use the medical facilities in Wayanad as people in that region depend on medical facilities in Wayanad," she said.

Mysuru, Jan 16: A day after the Mysuru Advocates’ Association refused to defend a student in Mysuru who has been charged with sedition case for displaying a ‘Free Kashmir’ placard, president of the People’s Lawyers’ Guild of Davangere, has come forward to appear in the Court on behalf of her.

Opposing the attack on JNU students and teachers at JNU recently, Nalini had displayed a ‘Free Kashmir’ placard during a protest on January 8 at Manasagangotri of the University of Mysore (UoM) campus here.

Members of the Mysuru Bar Association decided not to represent Nalini.
