Madikeri, May 26: The rehabilitation of people who lost their houses, owing to landslips in Kodagu during monsoon last year, continues to be a work in progress though the south-west monsoon is hardly two to three weeks away.
In all 427 houses are being constructed as part of the rehabilitation package in the first phase and of them about 115 are nearing completion, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner in-charge of rehabilitation T Javare Gowda.
Of the 427 houses, 35 are being built in Karnangeri, 80 in Madde, and around 300 in Jambooru-Madapura villages. He said Infosys has also chipped in and is constructing around 200 houses of them.
