Riyadh: Khidmah Foundation holds AGM

Riyadh: The Riyadh unit of Khidmah Foundation (KF) held its annual general body meeting at the Maqsoura Conference Hall of the East Ramada Hotel Batha. The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mohammed Nasrullah Kandlur

Doctor Shafiq Ahmed was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the efforts of KF and urged the audience and KF members to follow the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his peaceful life. He quoted some verses from the Quran related to virtues of helping the neighbor and needy brothers. He explained that Islam is a religion of peace and Muslims must be known for tolerance and forgiveness.

“We should lead by example by practicing high moral standards and set an example to entire community”, he said.

Saifuddin Kirimanjeshwar, MH Tahir and Abdul Gafoor shaikh Basrur expressed their feeling and advised to youngsters importance for the social activities.

General secretory of Khidmah foundation Riyadh unit Brother Fazlu Rahman Kolkar briefed about efforts of KF in Kundapur Taluk during the year 2014-2015 with a slide show. He thanked the members and committee for their support during his tenure and appealed youngsters to join Khidmah to continue the 2nd years' noble mission.

Treasurer Abdul Abdul Gafoor shaikh Basrur presented the annual report and the annual financial report was presented.

A total of 38 executive committee members were elected for the term and six new members joined the committee.

Abdussalam Moulana welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to all the Khidmah life members, office bearers of other organization and the guests.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.
