Roshan Abdul Rahoof, a 19-year-old upcoming Malayalam actor, who became ‘talk of the town’ after a song clip from the movie ‘Oru Adaar Love’ thanks to winking star Priya Prakash Varrier, now can't even step out without being mobbed by crazy fans.

In the clip, the actress, Priya Prakash Varrier can be seen winking at Roshan where he blushes pink in his cheek. The world loved their chemistry and both became internet sensation overnight.

"This is a dream come true. I am enjoying all the attention," says the young actor. 

He had tried raising and lowering his eyebrows using the Dubsmash app, but had never imagined one of those movements could change his life forever. "I used to try out funny facial expressions and eye movements and later make videos using them. When the director asked me to improvise on the spot, it wasn't tough," Roshan says.

Born on April 23, 1998 in Abu Dhabi, Roshan in real life is a happy-go-lucky boy who loves posting his pictures on the social networking site. He has more than three lakh followers on Instagram and his fan base is going up by hundreds day-by-day. 

Apart from acting, Roshan is an amazing dancer also who participated in a Malayalam dance reality show back in 2016 along with his elder brother Abdul Raees. The duo won the fourth prize in the competition and created a name for themselves.

"Raees inspires me no end. He always encourages me to attempt different things. We aren't trained dancers but have picked up our steps from YouTube. It isn't an easy journey but with Raees on my side, everything seems so simple," says Roshan.

Bengaluru, Aug 2: A total of 5,532 new cases of COVID-19 and 84 deaths were reported in Karnataka in the last 24 hours, the state's health department informed on Sunday.

With this, the Karnataka's COVID-19 tally now stands at 1,34,819 positive cases, including 74,590 active cases and 57,725 discharges.
So far, 2,496 deaths have been reported from the state.

India's COVID-19 count on Sunday crossed the 17 lakh-mark with 54,736 positive cases and 853 deaths reported in the country.

"The total COVID-19 cases stand at 17,50,724 including 5,67,730 active cases, 11,45,630 cured/discharged/migrated and 37,364 deaths," said the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

Bengaluru,  Jul 18: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers DV Sadananda Gowda on Friday said that Government of India headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been extending all possible assistance to state government in their endeavour to combat the deadly coronavirus.

In a statement released after participating in a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa in Bengaluru today, Gowda said he shared his views with the state government on how to control the spread of COVID-19 in the state in general and Bengaluru in particular.

He said the Centre was in constant touch with the state government on the issue. The centre is more than happy to extend any help further if Karnataka requires so.

"Being a Union Minister handling the Pharmaceutical Department also, I am closely monitoring the medicine demand and supply situation across the country on a day-to-day basis. The availability of required medicines including HCQ and Paracetamol is satisfactory in all states including Karnataka. Also, there has been enough lifesaving drugs in our Jan Aushadhi Kendras all over India. Over 600 such outlets exist in Karnataka alone," he said.

"If there is any issue related to medicine shortage or overpricing, one can bring it to my knowledge or call PMBJP tollfree number 18001808080 or NPPA number 18001112550 / 011-23345118 / 011-23345122. The grievances will surely be resolved to everybody's satisfaction" added the minister.

With related to state governments or private agencies seeking to import emergency medicines, medical equipment etc., Gowda assured, we would facilitate required licences without any delay.

"I strongly feel that it is our collective responsibility to use everything in our armour to defeat the pandemic. We also seek public support in this mission. Together, we will win," he said.

Mangaluru, Mar 25: Fishing boats returned to the old Port in Mangaluru after the government prohibited deep-sea fishing till further orders on Wednesday to prevent the assembly of a large gathering here in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic. 

According to officials, deep-sea fishing activities result in the gathering of a large number of people and is much against the government's direction on maintaining social distancing. 

According to the Department, the 42-Km coastline in Dakshina Kannada hass 57 purse seine boats, 1,270 trawl boats, 1,483 gillnet boats, 549 other mechanised boats.
