S M Krishna?should know politics is not business: Kagodu

New Delhi/Bengaluru, Feb 3: Criticising former chief minister S M Krishna for quitting the Congress, Revenue Minister Kagodu Thimmappa on Thursday said it is unfortunate that the senior leader had attacked the party after enjoying several posts.

smkagoduNo leader in South India held posts which Krishna held during his over four-decade association with the Congress. Had Krishna involved actively in strengthening the party, he would have become Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president one more time, Thimmappa said.

“In politics, nobody should desire power. Politics is not business and a senior politician like Krishna should know this,” he added.

In Bengaluru, replying to questions on Krishna's exit from the Congress, KPCC?working president Dinesh Gundu Rao sarcastically said, “Is it acceptable, if one condemns the food after a sumptuous meal with a lot of varieties, just because the curd served is sour? It is a black mark on him that he has quit the party after enjoying power.”

Mangaluru, June 6: Four persons were arrested by the Mulki police today in connection with the murder of Abdul Lateef, a 38-year-old businessman.

The arrested are: Mohammed Hasim (27), Nissar alias Riyaz (33), and Mohammed Razim (24), all residents of Mulki, and Aboobakar Siddique (27), a resident of Udupi.

The weapons and vehicles used for murder have been confiscated. Investigation is in progress to find out the motive behind the murder and the arrest of remaining accused.

Abdul Lateef, his father-in-law Muneer, latter’s son Ijaz and relative Imran were returning from Vijaya Bank at Mulki when a gang of nine miscreants waylaid their car and attacked with sharp weapons.

The gang comprised of Hakeem, Wafa, Asim, Siddique, Nissar, Bava, Farhan, Razeem and Siddiq.  While four of them are arrested, police continued hunt to nab other accused.

Abdul Lateef breathed his last while being taken to hospital. Others are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

This new feature activates refunds and credits the customer's source account across payment methods such as credit card, net banking, and UPI within a minute of initiation.

India is one of the fastest-growing online retail markets today. About 71 per cent of internet users in the country purchase products online. Today, the refund process has two major pain points for both the end customer and the business.

First, a delay of five-seven business days for the customer in receiving the money because of multiple intermediaries like the acquiring bank, issuing bank and the networks (VISA/MasterCard/Rupay).

Second, the lack of transparency during the entire refund process for both the customer and the business. This long cycle of processing refunds is a significant problem with every popular payment method in the industry.

This new feature will also reduce the dependence on manpower as every refund issue on an average leads to ten service emails or calls from customer support teams.

Bengaluru, Mar 31: The total number of positive cases of coronavirus reached 101 in Karnataka on Tuesday after 13 more positive cases were reported in the state from March 30 5 pm to 2 pm today.

The total number of 101 includes three deaths and 8 discharged/cured cases, Karnataka Health Department stated.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 1,397 after 146 new patients were reported in the last 24-hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday.

Of this little less than 1,400 cases, there are 1,238 active while 124 cured. The total figure also includes 35 fatalities.
