Mumbai, Sep 3: Actor Paresh Rawal says Salman Khan has his own charm and style of acting and feels the superstar has become more calm today.

The veteran actor, who has collaborated with Salman for films like "Ready", "Baghban", "Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega", "Dhulan Hum Le Jayenge", and "Andaz Apna Apna", will be next seen with him in Ali Abbas Zafar's "Tiger Zinda Hai".

"Every actor has his own charm including Salman, everyone is good in their own way. I have worked with him in couple of films. He is easy to work with, understands things and is always helpful. Today I think he has become more calm," Rawal said on Salman's acting style.

The Yash Raj Film's "Tiger" franchise centers around a fictional character of an Indian spy (RAW), code named Tiger (Salman), who falls in love with a Pakistani spy (ISI), played by Katrina Kaif.

Of their all films together, the 1994 cult "Andaz Apna Apna" stands out. In the film, Rawal essayed the double role of Teja and Ram Gopal Bajaj.

While there is a buzz of the sequel being planned, Rawal says he hasn't been approached for such a project yet.

"No one has come to me yet for the sequel. It's a good film, the premise is good... it was ahead of its time. Director Rajkumar Santoshi did a fantastic job. The sequel should be made provided the story is good," he says.

Recalling the shooting experience for the comic caper, he says there were financial and date issues while filming, but the overall experience was great.

"During the climax shoot there was problem as half shoot was done here (in one place), half there (in another place). There were date issues so we had to shoot it differently. And people were not paid on time. That time the working style, work ethics were different including finance. We all had great fun doing the film and had never imagined the film will turn out to be a cult. Even during 'Hera Pheri' we had not thought we are making a great film our job was to do the film and move on."

The 67-year-old actor reveals that work on the third part of hit "Hera Pheri" series had begun, but is currently stalled after director Neeraj Vora fell ill.

His other super-hit film "Oh My God", released in 2012, will see a sequel and work on the script was on.

"We are planning a sequel... the work is going on the script. It will all depend on the script whether Akshay Kumar and I will team for it or not," he says.

Currently, Rawal is busy promoting his upcoming film "Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi" also starring Rishi Kapoor, Vir Das, Payal Ghosh and Prem Chopra. It is slated to release on September 15.

Mumbai, Mar 7: A 'farm-to-fork' themed restaurant 'He-Man' situated on National Highway in Haryana's Karnal -- franchised by veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra -- has been sealed for building law violations, officials said on Saturday.

The Karnal Municipal Corporation sealed the franchise outlet on Friday for not furnishing the change of land use (CLU) certificate and illegal constructions, an official said.

The restaurant is located on National Highway 44 on the outskirts of Karnal, some 150 km from here.

The franchise was given to Delhi-based businessman Pramod Kumar.

"After the success of my restaurant Garam Dharam Dhaba, I am now announcing a farm-to- fork themed restaurant 'He-Man'," Dharmendra had announced on Instagram after its launch on Valentine's Day.

Karnal Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav said the action was initiated as the restaurant owner did not respond to MC notice on the issue.

Chennai, Mar 12: Superstar Rajinikanth on Thursday clarified that he never aspired to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and said his plans for politics include different heads for his prospective party and a possible government headed by it.

In his first official press conference since December 31, 2017, when he announced to take the political plunge, the veteran star also said he planned to appoint as CM, an educated youth who was compassionate and had self-respect.

With a two-leadership system for party and the government, the former would act as an "opposition" to highlight issues and would not even hesitate to "remove", apparently the head of the government, if it fails to perform, he said.

His prospective party would focus on including a substantial amount of youngsters in the age group of below 45 years while the rest would comprise retired judges and IAS and IPS officials among others.

"I myself would reach out to them and invite them," to join him, the 69-year-old actor said.

Contrary to expectations, he however, did not make a concrete statement on floating his party but called for an "uprising" by youth, after which he would make his formal political entry.

Mumbai, Jun 16: In the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput's death, veteran actor Deepti Naval has opened up about her struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts in the early 90s.

Naval shared a poem that she wrote during her struggle with depression on her Facebook page after paying tributes to Rajput, who was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on Sunday at the age of 34.

According to a police official, Mumbai Police found out during the probe that the actor was under medication for depression

"Dark days these... So much has been happening - mind has come to a point of stillness... Or rather numbness. Today I feel like sharing a poem I wrote back in the years when I was fighting depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts - Yes, fighting... and like how," Naval wrote.

The 68-year-old actor made her debut with Shyam Benegal's 1978 "Junoon" and went on to feature in films like "Chashme Buddoor", "Ankahee", "Mirch Masala", Saath Saath among others in the 80s.

Naval's poem, titled "Black Wind", begins by describing how anxiety engulfs a person.

"Anxiety grips me with both hands, spiked claws dig deep into my soul I gasp for breath and stagger around sharp corners of my single bed.."

In the poem, Naval talks about fighting suicidal thoughts and depression, describing it as a "ghoulish lust" she won't succumb to.

"The telephone rings... no, it stops...God damn! Why don't anyone speak? A voice, Just a human voice In this shameless, pitiless Abyss of the night - gloom deepens into darkness, turns purple I feel dark inside."

The actor ends by writing that she will survive the night, its "deathly design" and fight.

"The world's a snake pit, so let it be! I dare the devil to get the better of me! Deepti Naval, Night of July 28, 1991."

In an interview with PTI last year, Naval had mentioned how acting assignments started to thin in the late 90s and as a "serious actor" it was "devastating" to be ignored.
