SASP-Jubail lifts Sabsa Champions League trophy

Al Khobar: SASP Jubail emerged winner of Sabsa champions league -2017 organised by Sab Propel Sports and entertainment pvt Ltd at Sabsa ground, Rakah, Al Khobar on September 28 and 29.  Indian cricket legend Mohammed Azharuddin was the brand ambassador for the event.

The champion team received a cash prize of SR 25,000 along with a trophy, while runner up smartech received a cash prize of SR 13,000 and trophy.

Azharuddin inaugurated the tourney along with chairmen of SAB group Mr. Sallahuddin Salman, Anas Baqai of Delhi, Mr. Umar Farooq of SAB rig movers, Mr. Mudassar Rehan of SAB rig movers, Mr. Naveed Ghani among others.

The event was sponsored by and held under guidance of Sallahuddin Salman and organized by Sadhiq kaup, Yaseen, Iqbal, Muthalib and Asif UK.

16 mighty teams of Eastern Province and Riyadh region participated in the tournament. The teams were divided into four groups. Each team played three league matches. Four teams qualified for knockout rounds. In semi finals Eastern Blues and Samcon Jubail were beaten in a nail biting finish.

Sajid of SASP declared as man of the tournament for his outstanding all rounder performance. He was presented a motorbike. Rajesh of SASP won man of the match in the final. Bineesh of Eastern Blues emerged best bowler. Muzahir Khan of SASP emerged best batsman.

Ahead of closing ceremony Azharuddin played an exhibition match along with Salahuddin Salman and team against finalist team.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.
