Saudi Arabia: Mohammed Mansoor to lead JF NRCC

Jeddah: The Jeddah unit of Jamiyyatul Falah hosted the JF NRCC meet-2015 at the Village Restaurant, Azizia District, Jeddah, recently.

Presiding over the meeting, NRCC Ameer Mohammed Farooq from Jubail, thanked each NRCC unit and all fellow members of JF for supporting him as a strong team in his tenure 2014 -2015.

JF nrcc 2He said he was proud to be a part of JF and its activities that inspired several individuals and organizations to serve for the community.

He appreciated the tremendous efforts put in by school teachers of JF run Adakare Padav Green View School which recorded 88% result in SSLC in the last academic year.

Mohammed Shafi, President of JF Jeddah unit delivered the welcomed address. He said that the constructive decision in the meeting would result in the growth of JF.

All the guests remembered the dedicated service Mohammed Iqbal Yusuf, the founder of JF and appreciated his vision. They also prayed for his good health.

Discussions were held on several important issues related to community development and social welfare projects taken up by the Jamiyyatul Falah and on its future endeavours.

Mohammed Mansoor from Jeddah unit was elected new ‘Ameer’ of NRCC for the term 2015 -2016. Speaking after taking over the post, he sought support from all the units pledged to serve selflessly.

The meet started with the recitation of the verses of holy Quran. Mohamed Iqbal, secretary, Jeddah unit, proposed vote of thanks.

Shabih Ahmed Kazi from Udupi unit, NRCC representatives and members from Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah units were present.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.
