Bengaluru, Dec 18: The high court on Tuesday directed the government to ensure that application as well as brochure fees charged by private unaided schools are displayed on the official website of the department of public instruction (DPI).
A division bench headed by chief justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka also directed the government to ensure that district education regulatory authorities dispose of complaints/grievances within a reasonable time.
The court posted the PIL to January 21 for further consideration, while directing the state to file a compliance report. The petitioner said though the April 13, 2015 circular required every educational institution to put up 6 feet-by-10 feet display boards, indicating the fee structure in private schools, the same hadn't been complied with.
