Mysuru, June 24: The Union Government and Karnataka State have decided to jointly establish a ‘Science City’ in the City of Palaces Mysuru and the Suttur Mutt, which is running more than 200 Educational institutions, has come forward to donate 25 acres of land for the purpose, Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Paramsehwara said today.
Speaking to newsmen after visiting the site and holding talks with concerned officers here on Monday, he said that the cost will be shared on 50:50 basis by both the Centre and State.
He said that the Suttur Mutt’s offer will be sent to the Union government for approval. It is Rs 200 Crore project and after establishment the City will emerge as biggest City in South India.
