Addressing media persons in the city the former union minister said that he demanded the Karnataka government to set up a Commission of Inquiry under the leadership of a a Supreme Court judge to unearth the misappropriations in the implementation of the project.

"Prima facie, it seems that officials involved in the implementation of Yettinahole project have committed various offences that come under IPC sections 463 (forgery), 464 (making false document), 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating) and 420 (cheating)," Mr Poojary said.

"Let chief minister Siddaramaiah order a Commission of Inquiry to bring the truth to light. Let the people of Karnataka know all types of misappropriations that have taken place in implementing Yettinahole project. All officials and political leaders, who are involved in the misappropriation, should be brought before the law. Former chief ministers, who have taken initiative to implement the project, also should be brought under the purview of Commission of Inquiry," Poojary said.

Questioning the process in which the detailed project report (DPR) was prepared, he said, "They claim in DPR that project is aimed at lifting 24tmc of water from Yettinahole. Let them provide information on place and method of measurement used to calculate the water availability in Yettinahole project. Officials and political leaders have been misleading people and CM too. False documents have been prepared to get clearances for the project," Poojary alleged.

Bengaluru, Jan 29: The Karnataka unit of BJP has urged the Centre and the State governments to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), accusing them of harbouring terrorist tendencies.

Addressing a press meet, N Ravi Kumar, state general secretary of the party, alleged that there was a nexus between the Congress, the PFI and the SDPI.

“Recent reports have exposed the links between the PFI and the Congress,” he said, accusing Congress leader Kapil Sibal of receiving huge funds from PFI to defend their cases in the Supreme Court.

He also accused the organisations as the ones responsible for the death of 23 Hindu activists in Karnataka. Such incidents have proven that both SDPI and PFI are dubious organisations, he said.

PFI is the first kind of organization which is doing community work in all the walks of life.

and providing the helping hands to all the Indian community doing marvelous job.

this is the first organization fighting against corrupt and injustice following the principle of our father of nation mahatma Gandhi’s.

the corrupt and injustice people in the society not ready to accept their policy and trying to stop the voices of justice to the society.

I wish PFI and its sub organizations will continue to support to the society and keep the good work so that people are with you.

RSS is the most active and first ever terrorist organisation in India and it should be banned first.    There is no proof of terrorist activities by SDPI and PFI.    BJP is afraid of these organisations as they give tought resistance to BJP and this is the reason why its planning to ban these organisations.    BJP is doing propoganda only.   Real thread for peace + harmoney in India by sanghis.   We should ban them first.

Madikeri, Jan 5: Frequent attacks by Tigers on their cattle in South Kodagu region has left the dairy farmers a worried lot and causing concern for their life.

Several farmers have been rearing cows to supplement their income when low prices of pepper and coffee affect their earnings. At least 13 cows have fallen prey to Tigers in the months of November and December last year.

The Forest Department provides a compensation of Rs 10,000 if a cattle is killed by a tiger or in the attack. The compensation amount is meagre when it comes to the loss incurred by the farmers.

Though the Forest Department has submitted a proposal to increase the compensation amount to the government, no action has been initiated in this regard.
