Several cases registered in Kerala, Karnataka over suspected ISIS links

rajnath Kasaragod, Aug 3: Revolutionary Socialist Party leader and Kollam MP N K Premachandran has said that following a submission made by him in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh stated that, as per reports, persons from various States, including Kerala, who had gone missing reached camps of terrorist outfits such as the Islamic State and that nine cases had been registered in Kerala alone in this connection.

Mr. Premachandran, in a statement, said Mr. Singh informed him that apart from the Kerala, similar cases of missing persons had been reported from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Along with the police from these States, the National Investigating Agency was also investigating the cases.

The Minister said that in connection with the missing persons joining terrorist outfits abroad, 54 persons had been arrested so far. According to information, the IS has launched various plans for making recruitments from India, and that along with the State police, the Central investigation agencies were closely following up the information.

9 missing persons out of 20 crores.....PEA NUTS.... All the fingers of a hand are not equal.... After 5 years, the govt will come back and say, these were wrong reports by Police, as happened in the case of Akshamdam and Hyderabad attacks...

After 10 years everybody will be proved innocent..

6,000 chickens buried alive in Belagavi as prices drop

Belagavi, Mar 10: Around 6,000 chickens were buried alive by some poultry farm owners here as the rate of flesh in the market dropped even below the cost price due to Coronavirus scare.

The poultry farm who buried the chickens on Monday evening belonged to Lolasuru village in Gokak Taluk of the district.

One of the owners, Nazir Makandar, said that there was no demand for chicken because of threat of Coronavirus.

Blockade at Karnataka border hits supply of essential goods to Kerala; CM seeks PM's intervention

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 28: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention to remove the blocking of roads including state highway along the border of Karnataka in view of lock down to contain the spread of COVID-19.

In a letter sent to the Prime Minister on Friday evening, the Chief Minister said certain actions by the Karnataka Police have resulted in the blocking the Thalassery-Coorg State Highway-30. This road connects Kerala with Coorg in Karnataka via Veerajapettah. This route is a lifeline for flow of essential commodities to Kerala."

"If this is blocked, vehicles carrying essential commodities will have to travel a much longer route to reach our state. Given the situation of national lock down, this will add much more hardship to people," it said.

"You will naturally agree with me that no action impeding the movement of essential commodities should be initiated at this moment of crisis," he hoped.

COVID-19: PM Modi announces total lockdown in India for 21 days

New Delhi, Mar 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced total lockdown in the country from 120'clock tonight in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.

"From 120'clock tonight there will be a complete lockdown across the country,"said Prime Minister Modi said during his second address to the nation within days.

He also hailed the people for the success of 'Janata Curfew' saying that they showed how Indians can come together and fight against any trouble which comes before the country.

"The one-day Janta Curfew showed how we Indians come together and fight against any trouble which comes before the country and the mankind,"he added. (ANI)
