Several cases registered in Kerala, Karnataka over suspected ISIS links

rajnath Kasaragod, Aug 3: Revolutionary Socialist Party leader and Kollam MP N K Premachandran has said that following a submission made by him in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh stated that, as per reports, persons from various States, including Kerala, who had gone missing reached camps of terrorist outfits such as the Islamic State and that nine cases had been registered in Kerala alone in this connection.

Mr. Premachandran, in a statement, said Mr. Singh informed him that apart from the Kerala, similar cases of missing persons had been reported from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Along with the police from these States, the National Investigating Agency was also investigating the cases.

The Minister said that in connection with the missing persons joining terrorist outfits abroad, 54 persons had been arrested so far. According to information, the IS has launched various plans for making recruitments from India, and that along with the State police, the Central investigation agencies were closely following up the information.

9 missing persons out of 20 crores.....PEA NUTS.... All the fingers of a hand are not equal.... After 5 years, the govt will come back and say, these were wrong reports by Police, as happened in the case of Akshamdam and Hyderabad attacks...

After 10 years everybody will be proved innocent..

Two more commit suicide over covid fear

Bengaluru, Jul 22: A 54-year-old man committed suicide at his home, after he learned that he was tested positive for Covid-19, at Devasandra, in Sadashivanagar.

The deceased, Shivamahadeva, ran a cot shop in Yeshwantpur along with his brother. The police said that he was single and was living with his elder brother and his family.

In another incident, a 50-year-old man, committed suicide fearing Covid-19 and the stigma related to the illness.

The deceased has been identified as Nagaraju, a resident of Doddaballapura and a native of Hesaraghatta, and his body was found at the Hesaraghatta lake.

The police said that during the investigation it was found that the neighbours had accused Nagaraju of spreading the infection.

CCB questions gangster Ravi Pujari's associate Yusuf Bacha Khan

Bengaluru, Jun 22: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru Police has obtained the custody of an associate of gangster Ravi Pujari and is questioning him about his role in several cases against the gangster, the police said on Monday.

According to the police, Khan is convicted in the case related to the murder of a builder named Subba Rao in the year 2017. The accused has been identified as Yousuf Bacha Khan.

"Continuing the investigation of Ravi Poojary, CCB had obtained custody of Yousuf Bacha Khan, who is associate of Pujari. Khan was convicted in the Subba Rao murder case. He is being questioned about his role in other cases," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Patil said.

The CCB had recently filed two charge sheets against gangster Ravi Pujari in Shabnam developers double murder case and an extortion case.

Pujari, who was wanted in several cases including ones related to heinous crimes like murder and extortion, was extradited to Bengaluru earlier this year from Senegal.

The gangster, who parted ways with underworld don Chhota Rajan, had jumped bail after he was arrested in Senegal in 2019 and had escaped to South Africa, where he was involved in drug trafficking and extortion.

According to sources in the Indian intelligence, Ravi Pujari was hiding under the false identity of Anthony Fernandes, a Burkina Faso passport holder, in a remote village in South Africa.

Nearly 30 injured as Mangaluru-Bengaluru bus falls into trench

Puttur, Jan 4: As many as 27 passengers travelling in a private bus escaped with minor injuries after it toppled and fell into a roadside trench at Amai near Perne on Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway last night, police said on Saturday.

Police said that the driver of the Bengaluru-bond bus lost control over the vehicle while traversing through the narrow bridge at Amai.

The bus was damaged in the mishap.
