Shahid Kapoor doesn’t want to be overprotective for daughter Misha

New Delhi, Nov 4: Actor Shahid Kapoor hs recently entered fatherhood and has over the moon post the arrival of his daughter Misha. The actor is leaving no stone unturned to be the best father to his princess.

shahimishaHowever, there is one thing he is making sure about his journey of fatherhood. Shahid has admitted that he doesn’t want to have his father Pankaj Kapur’s hyper traits.

Sasha, who shares a great bond with his father, admitted that Pankaj is a bit hyper and over protective and this is what he doesn’t want to do with his daughter.

The ‘Udta Punjab’ actor during his recent interview got candid about his father and said, “There are things about him that I think are amazing, there are things about him that I don't want to be like that with my child”.

However, Shahid also sang praises for hid dad and averred that Pankaj had been a great friend to him. He also said that to some extent he would like to have a bond with Misha like he has with dad.

On being quizzed about the piece of advice daddy Pankaj gave to his son before her stepped into fatherhood, Shahid said, “Actually more than a piece of advice: what my dad told me was that 'Now, you will know all the complaints that I have always had against you'."

Shahid stated that the veteran often complains about not spending much time with him or not calling him everyday. Though Shahid does make a call to his father on daily basis, but Pankaj still complaints about not being able to connect enough with his son.

“Finally when obviously Misha happened, he told me, 'Now you will know what it's like when you miss your child'", Shahid added.

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ also starring Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan. The movie is scheduled to release in February next year.

Besides, the actor has been roped in for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s periodical drama ‘Padmavati’ opposite Deepika Padukone. While he will portray the role of Deepika’s onscreen husband, ‘Padmavati’ will also feature Ranveer Singh as the main antagonist Allauddin Khilji.

New Delhi, Jun 22: Amidst a strain in the ties between India and Nepal, actor Manisha Koirala, a Nepali national, on Monday urged people of both the countries to be not "aggressive and disrespectful" towards each other.

Koirala, a leading Bollywood actor of her times, took to Twitter to request people to let the respective government resolve the issues and stay "civil."

"A heartfelt request please let's not be aggressive and disrespectful..we are in this situation together..our respective Gov's will resolve the issue. In the meantime we can be civil ..I remain hopeful," she tweeted.

Earlier last week, Nepal 's Upper House of Parliament endorsed a proposal to discuss the Constitution amendment bill to update the country's map that incorporates parts of Indian territory.

Nepal's House of Representatives had on June 10 endorsed a proposal seeking consideration of a constitution amendment bill for change of country's map after a lengthy discussion. Nepal has made offers to India to hold "diplomatic talks to resolve the territorial issue" between the two countries.

New Delhi has said that the updated map is "not based on historical facts and evidence" and termed the claims by Nepal as artificial enlargement.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava also said that the move is violative of the current understanding to hold talks on outstanding boundary issues.

New Delhi, Feb 24: Indian Idol 11 winner is Bhatinda's Sunny Hindustani. Sunny, who mostly sang Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's songs on the show, won the coveted trophy. The Bhatinda boy took home the Indian Idol 11 trophy along with the prize money of Rs 25 lakh, a car and a singing contract with T-Series.

Sunny's entry on the show was much-talked-about. His soul-soothing voice had mesmerised the judges on the audition day itself as he sang Afreen Afreen. He got a standing ovation and former Indian Idol 11 judge Anu Malik even said that he felt as if Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan himself was performing on the Indian Idol stage. His audition video had gone viral after Anand Mahindra shared it on social media.

On the finale night, Sunny sang a medley of songs, which included Mere Rashke Qamar and Halka Halka Suroor. Ayushmann got emotional seeing Sunny's journey on screen. He said, "Hum na actor bade self-obsessed hote hain. Humein lagta hai hamari struggle sabse achchi hai, sabse badi hai. Inke saamne toh kuch hai he nahi. Jahaan se aye hai, jitna hunar inke paas hai...mujhe lagta hai inki maa sabse ameer hain."

The first and second runner-up of the show Rohit Raut and Ankona Mukherjee got Rs 5 lakh each, while Ridham Kalyan and Adriz Ghosh who were fourth and fifth on the show, took Rs 3 lakh home. Every finalist also received Rs 1 lakh cheque from Lotus Herbals and gift hampers from the sponsors.

New Delhi, Mar 16: Joining other big names from the industry in raising the awareness about the novel coronavirus, actor Katrina Kaif on Sunday ensured the safety and urged everyone to take all the preventive measures to combat the spread of the virus.

The 36-year-old actor shared a post on Instagram along with a caption that read: "..... hope everyone is staying safe ... please follow all precautionary safety measures as recommended by the health professionals .... exercise and meditation help your body`s immune system ... keep your environment clean and happy."

In the shared post, she is seen posing for the camera along with her girlfriends, all seen in happy faces.

Earlier in the day actor Parineeti Chopra too took to Twitter and urged her fans to adopt social distancing to stop the highly contagious virus from spreading.

This comes three days after the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced coronavirus as a global pandemic.

In the wake of spurt in cases of coronavirus across the country, the Central Government on Saturday decided to treat the deadly virus as a "notified disaster".

As of Sunday, the total cases of coronavirus reported in India is 107, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
