‘Shareef Foundation’ inaugurated in Jubail

Al Jubail, Feb 24:  A new philanthropic organization ‘Shareef Foundation’ was formed recently in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

It is an educational and charity organization.  The inauguration ceremony was held in Regal Classic Restaurant, Al Jubail.

This foundation is formed with an aim to support the educational needs of weaker section in the community and to create an avenue for charity, It was formed under the leadership of Mr. Shameer Ahmed with the support of many of his family members, Mangalorean philanthropist and who are spread around in Jubail – Dammam region.

In the educational field, the organization aims to provide leadership and communication development programs, child development program, youth leadership programs etc. In the field of charity, the organization wants to provide charitable assistance to education, medication, marriages, job facility for unprivileged women and blood donation campaigns.

The organization says, it has values to create an atmosphere to all family members to serve downtrodden community members selflessly and to create an opportunity to work as a team successfully.

The vision of the organization is to build a strong community by promoting and helping educationally and socially down-trodden families.

The meeting started reciting Surah by Shehzan Ahmed, a 4th grade student from International  Indian  School Jubail , then the founder ‘blood donation Icon of Jubail’ Shameer Ahmed Kudroli welcomed the guests and members, explained elaborately the foundation’s mission, vision and value through PowerPoint presentation.

The event ended with question & Answer session and membership drive to expand the horizon and an interaction session held.

Toastmaster Shameer appreciated the effort of members like Adil Shareef, Mohammed Imran, Mohammed Thasleem, Mohammed Ibrahim, Hisham Ahmed, Sufiyan Ahmed, Shehzan Ahmed, Mohammed Zaki, Ziyan Ahmed, Abdul Wahab, Mohammed Zaheer, Mohammed Ashraf, Mohammed Nayeem, Luqman, Sanfath, Thouseef, Mazhar, Miyad, Farhad, Muzzammil and Munaffil for joining hands under one platform to serve the community.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.
