Sheikh Hamadn award winner Vibhali Shetty honoured with ‘Prathibha Puraskar’ by UAE Bunts

Dubai: Vibhali Shetty, a Class 8 student of Our Own English High School, Sharjah was conferred with Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award on April 29, 2018 and was honoured by Deputy Ruler of Dubai at the Trade Centre Auditorium during the Award Function.

In recognition of this award, Vibhali Shetty was also honoured with ‘Prathibha Puraskar’ during the recent 44th anniversary celebration of UAE BUNTS at J.W. Marriott Hotel, Dubai in the hands of Padmashree Dr. B.R. Shetty in the glittering ceremony.

Ministry of Education, Government of UAE  since 1998 has been recognizing the academic excelled students of UAE who are not only topped in education but also in extracurricular activities in their institution and have honoured them with the prestigious Award where more than 25 lakhs students of various nationalities get educated every year.

FOOTSTEPS OF VIBHALI SHETTY

Vibhali is the proud daughter of Prasad Shetty who is the Partner of Rajab Trading Company in Sharjah & Suraksha Prasad Shetty who is the Design Manager & Senior Architect at Sea Mak Consultants

She has always excelled in Educational competitions held by the Institute and is not only the topper but has been the Honorable Member of the School Parliament.

Vibhali is also the winner of Gold & Silver Medals at Abacus & Mental Arithmetic UAE level competitions held in UAE.  She is also the proud winner with first place at Karnataka Level Abacus competitions.

She is also the proud first place winner at ‘Santhwanam Youth Fest 2016’ Folk Dance Competitions held at the Dubai Shopping Festival’s Global Village, Indian Pavilion.

A multi-talented Vibhali is also good at Chess, Swimming, Painting, Drawing & Art having won very many accolades and prizes during her career.  She is also a good orator and recital of poems having presented in various stage performances.

Vibhali is also associated in ‘Environmental Protection’ programmes and has also being elected as the Leader of ‘Green Hope – Environmental Group’.  She has associated herself in the ‘Waste Recycling’ programme and also enrolled in Environmental Group. She is an asset to the Institution where she is part of and a proud daughter of her parents.

Mangaluru, Feb 19: Social worker Tabassum who has been rendering selfless service to HIV/AIDS affected children through her shelter home 'Snehadeep' at Bejai has been selected for the Annual Award of Mangaluru Press Club for the year 2019.

Tabassum, a resident of Konaje was chosen by a team of judges comprising Prof Balakrishna Gatti, Dr Vasanth Kumar Perla and Dr Nagaveni Manchi.

The passion of young  Ms Tabassum and Social Working of today, particularly, gives me lot of hope.  It almost feels like the political class wants to bring down India while the people are so hard working and committed to nation building.

Mrs.Tabassum's service for humanity is highly commendable.She looks after HIV & AIDS effected children with compassion like mother without expecting anything in returns.

She is the alumni of JF managed Green View PU womens college at Derealakette.

She deserve for more prestigious awards even like "Padma Shri" for her selfless and sincere services for the society and the nation.

Mangaluru, Aug 7: Following the incessant rain for last few days and subsequent landslides reported at various places along Charmadi Ghat, the movement of vehicles been banned for two days. 

Charmadi Ghat road connects Dakshina Kannada and Chikkamagaluru districts on National Highway-73. The fresh landslides caused cracks on the road and uprooted many trees. 
Officials have closed Charmadi as well as Kottigehara check posts as a precautionary measure.

Belthangady tahsildar Mahesh J confirmed that multiple landslides have hit Charmadi Ghat road.

"The road has been closed for vehicular movement as the officials are at the spot to clear landslide debris. As a precautionary measure, vehicular movement has been banned as there are chances of further landslides," he said.

Hundreds of commuters who were stuck on various stretches of the ghat following a landslide between Maleyamaruta and Alekan falls in Chikkamagaluru district have been rescued.

Mangaluru, Apr 4: With the district administration formally confirming three new cases of covid-19, the total number of coronavirus positive cases in Dakshina Kannada today mounted to 12. 

A 43-year-old man from Thumbey in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada had been to Delhi on March 11 due to personal work and returned on March 22. His throat swabs were sent for testing on April 2 though he was healthy. Today the report of the test claimed that he was infected with covid-19. However, he is still said to be healthy.

In another case, a man from Udupi, who had returned from Dubai on March 21, was under medical observation after he landed at Mangaluru International Airport. The district administration today claimed that he too is suffering from the covid-19. 

A resident of Thokkottu, on February 6, had travelled to Mumbai and then visited Delhi. On March 6 he had returned to Mangaluru. On April 2, his throat swabs were sent for testing and the report today showed positive.

All three have been admitted to Wenlock Hospital for treatment.
