Sheikh Hamadn award winner Vibhali Shetty honoured with ‘Prathibha Puraskar’ by UAE Bunts

Dubai: Vibhali Shetty, a Class 8 student of Our Own English High School, Sharjah was conferred with Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award on April 29, 2018 and was honoured by Deputy Ruler of Dubai at the Trade Centre Auditorium during the Award Function.

In recognition of this award, Vibhali Shetty was also honoured with ‘Prathibha Puraskar’ during the recent 44th anniversary celebration of UAE BUNTS at J.W. Marriott Hotel, Dubai in the hands of Padmashree Dr. B.R. Shetty in the glittering ceremony.

Ministry of Education, Government of UAE  since 1998 has been recognizing the academic excelled students of UAE who are not only topped in education but also in extracurricular activities in their institution and have honoured them with the prestigious Award where more than 25 lakhs students of various nationalities get educated every year.

FOOTSTEPS OF VIBHALI SHETTY

Vibhali is the proud daughter of Prasad Shetty who is the Partner of Rajab Trading Company in Sharjah & Suraksha Prasad Shetty who is the Design Manager & Senior Architect at Sea Mak Consultants

She has always excelled in Educational competitions held by the Institute and is not only the topper but has been the Honorable Member of the School Parliament.

Vibhali is also the winner of Gold & Silver Medals at Abacus & Mental Arithmetic UAE level competitions held in UAE.  She is also the proud winner with first place at Karnataka Level Abacus competitions.

She is also the proud first place winner at ‘Santhwanam Youth Fest 2016’ Folk Dance Competitions held at the Dubai Shopping Festival’s Global Village, Indian Pavilion.

A multi-talented Vibhali is also good at Chess, Swimming, Painting, Drawing & Art having won very many accolades and prizes during her career.  She is also a good orator and recital of poems having presented in various stage performances.

Vibhali is also associated in ‘Environmental Protection’ programmes and has also being elected as the Leader of ‘Green Hope – Environmental Group’.  She has associated herself in the ‘Waste Recycling’ programme and also enrolled in Environmental Group. She is an asset to the Institution where she is part of and a proud daughter of her parents.

Mangaluru, Apr 14: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today wished the people of Tulu Nad a Happy Bishu in Tulu language.

Yediyurappa took to Twitter on Tuesday and wrote in Tulu, 'Happy Vishu to everyone! A new year brings new hope and new energy. May the coming year bring good health and well-being in everyone’s lives.'

Bishu – the traditional New Year for the Hindus in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, which begins from Tuesday is believed to signal the arrival of good luck and fortune for the coming year.

Mangaluru, Mar 10:  Country’s economic condition is not permanent. All young entrepreneurs can be forward looking persons, because all bad times are followed by good times. In fact, it is good time to start your own industry, said Nitte Deemed to be University Chancellor Dr. N Vinaya Hegde. 

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating a three-day entrepreneurship symposium organized by Mangalore University and Department of M. Com and MBA, University Evening College at University College Mangalore here on Monday, he said that entrepreneurship is something you enjoy. You should belief that there is something in you to achieve your area of choice. You should get pleasure out of it. 

Ex-MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik believed that our population is definitely a resource, but symposiums are needed to convert ideas to implementation. Coastal Karnataka is best example for successful entrepreneurship in health, education sector, he added. 

Presiding over the function, Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof. P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya said that students should be universally compassionate before being an entrepreneur. There will be challenges, failures in entrepreneurship. One should trust himself, and should have courage and confidence to be innovative. One should have aspiration and passion for excellence, he added.

Young scientist, international awardee Swasthik Padma was felicitated on the occasion. Evening college Principal Dr. Ramakrishna B M, Coordinator  Dr. Yathish Kumar were present among others. Kavya P Hegde mastered the ceremony, Venkatesh Nayak presented vote of thanks.

Kasaragod, May 27: In a tragic incident, two persons, who were brothers, died of asphyxiation while trying to rescue a calf that fell in their well at Bandhiyod near here on Wednesday.

Police sources said the elder brother Narayanan (50) entered into the well first to save the calf that fell in the well early in the morning.

His brother Sankaran (40) also followed suit after he noticed his brother fainting deep down the well. However, he also fainted inside the well.
