Udupi, Nov 16: BJP leader and Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP has demanded a National Investigation Agency (NIA)?probe into all the cases of attacks on Sangh Parivar activists.

ShobhaSpeaking to reporters on?Tuesday after visiting the house of RSS leader and advocate K?S?Padmanabh in Igooru, she said that only a premier investigating agency like NIA can trace the real culprits involved in such attacks.

Padmanabh's car was partially gutted following an attack by some unidentified miscreants who hurled petrol bombs in a bid to set the vehicle on fire on Monday.

Giving an account of such cases, Karandlaje said, the state has witnessed 18 such cases including the murder of RSS?worker Rudresh in Bengaluru recently in the last 14 months.

She emphasised, “Themurder for politics' in Kerala has extended to Karnataka and this is evident after the recent murders of Rudresh and?Raju (in Mysuru on March 13, this year).”

She alleged that, “Some among them from?Kerala had been running a mafia, training people belonging to minority communities.”

Karandlaje further alleged that the Popular Front of India (PFI), Karnataka forum for Dignity (KFD) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI)?have been associated with the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).

She accused the state government of, “Indulging in vote bank politics thereby making a mockery of democracy.”

Karandlaje expressed doubts over the veracity of the Qur'an burning case in a mosque in Igooru, by stating that the said masjid had been abandoned for some time now. She nonetheless, demanded a fair probe into the incident.

Karandlaje suspected that, “It was the handiwork of some wanting to implicate pro-Hindu activists, who irrespective of their religion, never indulge in such acts of vandalising any places of worship.”

The MP reposed faith in the police and also the government and hoped that the culprits would soon be arrested.

Karandlaje urged officials to honestly carry out their duties or face consequenes when?BJP?returns to power in the next elections.

Virajpet MLA?K?G?Bopaiah, RSS zilla sangh chalak Chakkera Manu, vibhag pracharak N Seetharamu and others were also present during the visit.

Earlier she told to supply gun to rss member and now she is asking NIA probe. Seems INDIA belongs to her communal rss group. For INDIA's independence struggle there is zero share from this terror group. Now she is asking NIA involvement. As they are special to Indian Constitution. Where ever she goes always with her higher cast policy and communal mind words. All elected members must take care of all Indian citizens as their duty. But she don't know about her responsibility she always with her upper cast and communal mind speech.
Hope all peace loving Mangaloreans will give right answer shortly.

Jai Hind! Jai Karnataka!

Kasaragod, Feb 17: A Kerala Muslim couple conducted the wedding of their Hindu foster daughter at a Bhagavathi temple in Kerala, scripting another tale of communal harmony at Kasaragod.

The wedding ceremony was held on Sunday.

The woman Rajeshwari tied the knot with Vishnu Prasad in the presence of family and friends belonging to both Hindu and Muslim communities.

Abdulla and Khadeeja adopted Rajeshwari after her father who worked at Abdulla's farm died. Rajeshwari's mother also passed away when she was a child.

Rajeshwari grew up alongside Abdulla and Khadeeja's three sons- Shameem, Najeeb and Shereef.

Earlier in January this year, cutting across the lines of religion, a mosque in Kerala's Kayamkulam hosted a Hindu marriage ceremony.

New Delhi, Mar 30: Congress MP Rajmohan Unnithan on Monday approached the Supreme Court seeking directions to open the Karnataka-Kerala border to allow movement of ambulances and other emergency vehicles for the transport of essential items to Kerala.

Unnithan, who is an MP From Kerala's Kasaragod constituency, filed a plea seeking direction to Karnataka to open the borders with Kerala and in particular Kasargod-Mangalore border at Talappadi.

The petition sought directions to Karnataka to allow the movement of ambulances, emergency vehicles, trucks and other vehicles carrying essential and non-essential items to Kerala. It also sought to stay the blockade imposed by Karnataka with its border states.

The plea also sought directions to Karnataka to register an FIR and constitute a special investigation team (SIT) under the supervision of this court to enquire against the concerned authorities including the police officials whose action led to the death of two citizens.

It said that the imposition of such a blockade at a time when the supply of commodities is itself hit hard and when a medical emergency has plagued the entire country is a clear violation of Articles 21 and 19(d) of the Constitution.

"This blockade has also resulted in cutting off the essential lifeline of National Highways and State Highways and major District Roads leading to the State of Kerala which has resulted in the shortage of supply of essential and non-essential items to the State of Kerala leading to shortage supply of food and medical supplies," the plea said.

"This ill-planned and dangerous blockade has claimed the life of a 70-year-old woman who was denied entry into Karnataka even for the purpose of urgent medical treatment which was only available in the medical hub of Mangalore. This is a clear case of violation of the right to life with dignity by the state as citizens are made to die on the roads because of the action of the state which is in total disregard to Article 21," it added.

This comes as the country is under a 21-day lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which according to the Ministry of Health and Family Affairs has claimed the lives of 29 people and infected a total of 1071 people as on Monday morning.

Udupi, Apr 2: The Udupi Administration has given its nod to lift and transport watermelons, pineapples, papaya and Mattu Gulla after growers in the district complained that their produce will go waste and start rotting due to the lockdown on account of COVID-19.

It has directed these merchants to purchase 35 tonnes of pineapples, 55 tonnes of watermelons and 5,000 bunches of bananas from growers and sell them within the district and also send them to other districts. Such transportation has been exempted from prohibitory orders, he said.
