Udupi, May 31: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje has slammed the chief minister H D Kumaraswamy led-coalition government for what she felt the lack of importance given to the relief measures in the areas affected by heavy rain which had resulted in six deaths in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.

Speaking to presspersons here, the BJP leader said that such heavy rain had not been seen in both these districts, especially Dakshina Kannada, for a long time. But for the last fortnight, there has been no Ministry in the State, there was only a Chief Minister and a Deputy Chief Minister, she said.

Since the Congress and Janata Dal(S) politicians were busy lobbying for loaves and fishes of office, the bureaucrats had taken it easy. It was essential that Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy ordered the officers to give priority to providing relief and assistance in the rain-affected areas, she said.

To another query, Karandlaje said that it was imperative for Mr. Kumaraswamy to waive loans taken by farmers from nationalised banks and cooperative banks. This was because in the last four days, nearly 10 farmers had committed suicide in the State unable to bear the loan burden, she said.

Bengaluru, Jul 27: Former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Monday took strong exception to the BJP's celebration over completing one year in office and alleged that people are suffering due to anti-people policies of the state government.

In a tweet on Monday, he said that since the last six months pension due to physically challenged, old age and Widow pensions were not paid. He urged the Government Issue emerge order to release pension amounts immediately. It was shameful on the part of the Government to keep the pension amount being kept pending.

This government has no eyes and ears and claiming only challenging years and transparent government, what examples required for them, he questioned.

Mumbai, Jun 14: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on Sunday, leaving all his fans and the industry in shock. While the reason behind him taking up the extreme step is still not clear, a look into Sushant’s social media feed suggests that things were not well for him for quite some time.

Sushant had been inactive on Twitter since months. His last tweet was on December 27, 2019. Since then, he did not even reply to any one on Twitter. Same is the case with his Facebook account as the last post on his timeline was on the same date. Interestingly, Sushant's Twitter cover picture is the popular painting - 'Starry Night', by Van Gogh, who had also reportedly committed suicide in 1890.

On Instagram, the young actor had last posted on June 3. It was a collage picture of him and his mother along with a cryptic caption that read, “Blurred past evaporating from teardrops Unending dreams carving an arc of smile And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two...#माँ”.

Was Sushant’s inactivity on Twitter, Facebook and his last cryptic post on Instagram a signal that the actor was having a tough time? Well, may be it will remain a mystery forever.
