Siddaramaiah convenes CLP meeting on July 9 over political crisis

Bengaluru, July 7: Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah has convened a meeting of party Legislators on July 9 to iron out the present crisis.

According to party sources, a whip has been issued to all the party Legislators to attend the meeting without fail.

AICC General Secretary and Party Incharge of Karnataka K C Venugopal, Senior Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge, KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao and others will also attend the meeting which is said to be most crucial, in the context of the resignations of as many as 13 MLAs.

Mangaluru Mar 30: The Mangaluru South Police has registered a criminal case against a man over a 'derogatory post' against the district administration. According to DC Sindhu B Rupesh, the man identified as Melwyn Pinto had sent a derogatory message on WhatsApp.

She warned on taking stringent action against miscreants who are spreading false information and rumours about district administration under DM Act provisions.

Meanwhile, City Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha said, "We have noticed people going around on merry rides without purpose either on two-wheelers or in cars during the lockdown period."

Bengaluru, Apr 12: Cheif Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday paid homage to Legendary Kannada actor Dr. Rajkumar on his 14th death anniversary.

Mangaluru, Feb 15: Dense fog formation and poor visibility at the runway forced to delay and diversions of some flights arriving and take off at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Saturday.

Flights take off and landings were suspended from 0700 hours am to 1030 hours.

Many flights to land in the morning were diverted.
