Dammam: As a prelude to the cricket tournament being organized by the Indian Social Forum, Khobar – Dammam branch, on April 10, a jersey launch and captains meet was held at the Rose Restaurant, Dammam.
Indian Social Forum Karnataka Chapter President Mohammed Sharieff explained about the aims and objectives of the tournament. “We cannot help everyone, but everyone can help someone,” he said, adding that Social Forum Cup is part of the community welfare activities of the organization. He requested the participating teams to join hands with Indian Social Forum to serve the Indian expatriates beyond regional, religious and linguistic barriers.
The team representatives and captains introduced their teams to the guests and the audience. Match fixtures were held by the cricket organizing committee chairperson Saeed and Shafi Imran. Social Forum Cup-2015 Rules and regulations list was released by ISF Karnataka State Secretary Bava Shabu Beary.
An attractive jersey of Indian Social Forum Team was launched by the dignitaries to the team captain/players of Indian Social Forum which was sponsored by Fabrotech and Al Musaad Company.
There was a question and answer session which was smoothly handled by the cricket organizing committee chairperson Saeed.
Indian Social Forum Al-Khobar Branch President Abdul Nassir presided over the programme. Karnataka State Gen. Secretary A.M.Arif, concluded the programme. Dammam Branch President N. Fayaz proposed vote of thanks. The event was hosted by Indian Social Forum Khobar Branch Secretary Abdul Samath.
As per schedule, Jubail Social Forum Cup tournament final matches and grand finale ceremony will be held on April 2 and 3, 2015 at Al Falah Ground Jubail.
