Sonakshi to surprise with action in 'Force 2'

Mumbai, Nov 15: Director Abhinay Deo believes his "Force 2" leading lady Sonakshi Sinha will surprise everyone with her action in the film.

ss"In this film you will see the difference. Here Sonakshi is shoulder to shoulder with John Abraham. People would be surprised looking at her. We have started shooting the action part with her. Almost 50 percent of the action is done," Abhinay told PTI.

The "Delhi Belly" director is working on some hitherto unseen action sequences in "Force 2".

"With 'Force 2', I am trying to give action sequences that people haven't seen yet. Hope I can give something new. The shoot is going amazing. John has had an injury so we had stopped shooting for some time," he said.

"70 per cent of the film is done, only 30 per cent is left. We have not thought of the release date yet," he added.

Besides having spectacular action, the film will see "Mardaani" famed actor Tahir Raj Bhasin replacing Vidyut Jammwal, who played the negative role in "Force".

"This time the villain is (being played by) Tahir Raj Bhasin from 'Mardaani'. He is an absolutely amazing actor... He will surprise the audience. Villain doesn't necessarily be well-built and huge. He can surprise with his thinking...using brains," he said.

Abhinay is directing a film after a gap of four years and he believes in taking time and giving his best.

"I always take time for my projects. After 'Delhi Belly' I took two years for my next project '24'. I dedicated my time for the show as I want to do something different and path-breaking," he said.

Besides "Force 2", Abhinay is working on his much awaited TV show "24".

New Delhi, Mar 16: Joining other big names from the industry in raising the awareness about the novel coronavirus, actor Katrina Kaif on Sunday ensured the safety and urged everyone to take all the preventive measures to combat the spread of the virus.

The 36-year-old actor shared a post on Instagram along with a caption that read: "..... hope everyone is staying safe ... please follow all precautionary safety measures as recommended by the health professionals .... exercise and meditation help your body`s immune system ... keep your environment clean and happy."

In the shared post, she is seen posing for the camera along with her girlfriends, all seen in happy faces.

Earlier in the day actor Parineeti Chopra too took to Twitter and urged her fans to adopt social distancing to stop the highly contagious virus from spreading.

This comes three days after the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced coronavirus as a global pandemic.

In the wake of spurt in cases of coronavirus across the country, the Central Government on Saturday decided to treat the deadly virus as a "notified disaster".

As of Sunday, the total cases of coronavirus reported in India is 107, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

New Delhi, Aug 5: Playback singer S P Balasubrahmanyam on Wednesday confirmed testing positive for COVID-19 with 'mild' symptoms.

The 74-year-old musician shared the information through a video message posted on his official Facebook page.

In the video, the singer detailed about having a little "discomfort" for two days, stating he had chest congestion along with cold and on-off fever, which led him to get tested for the virus.

However, he also mentioned that he could have stayed at home in self-quarantine, as advised, but did not want to put his family in danger, and hence got admitted by his own choice, to recover quickly.

"I am in good hand, I am in good health. Nobody has to worry about this. The fever has subsided, and in two days I'll be discharged and I'll be home. Thanks for the concern," he said in the video message.

Mumbai, Jul 26: Just days after actor Kangana Ranaut made some claims on Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case and asked why the Mumbai police is not summoning some people of the Hindi film industry, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Sunday said that film director Mahesh Bhatt and Karan Johar's manager will be called for the questioning.

"Tomorrow Mahesh Bhatt will be called for questioning and we will later call Karan Johar's manager too. If required Karan Johar can also be called for the questioning in Sushant Singh Rajput case," he said while speaking to news agency.

A day Rajput's suicide, Kangana had released a two-minute video speaking highly of the deceased actor and accusing certain sections of the film industry for not acknowledging the star's talent.

Kangana had also claimed that some of the last social media posts by the actor made it evident that he was struggling to survive in the industry.

According to the police, statements of 39 people, including film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have been recorded in the investigation so far.

Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14.
