Bengaluru, Feb 13: The stone pelting incident on residence of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislator drew a strong protest in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, forcing the Speaker Ramesh Kumar to adjourn the House abruptly, on Wednesday.
As soon as the house reassembled after a three-hour adjournment, the Opposition BJP members, who were staging Dharna in the well of the House on Audio case referred to SIT, made an uproar in the House registering strong protest against the stone pelting incident on a BJP member residence Pritham Gowda allegedly by JDS workers.
Speaking on the issue, the Opposition leader, B S Yeddyurappa, who is also the BJP State President, charged that the JD(S) workers at the instance and blessings of the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had resorted to attack on vengeance. The agitating members shouted slogans criticising the State Government alleging that it is supporting the Goonda elements.
