Mangaluru, Dec 14: The state government has decided to develop seven water bodies in the limits of Mangaluru South constituency at an estimated cost of Rs 3.65 crore, said Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyasa Kamath.
Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday he said that a total of nine water bodies will be developed in the city to address the concern of depleting groundwater table.
“Barring the Gujjarakere lake at Jeppu, which will be developed under the Smart City Project, the other eight water bodies will be developed by Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
