Kasaragod, Oct 14: A Plus One student was killed when the scooter he was pillion-riding hit an electric post at Melparamba around 7.30 a.m. on Friday.
The victim was Marzook, 16, a student of Saadia Da'wa College at Deli. His teacher Ijaz Abdulla, 26, who was riding the vehicle, suffered minor injuries.

Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.
Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.
Bengaluru, April 3: Central Crime Branch (CCB) Bengaluru has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing illicit liquor.
The probe team also allegedly seized bottles worth Rs 1.25 lakhs from their possession on Thursday.
A case has been registered against the accused and investigation into the matter is underway, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police informed news agency.
