Sunny Leone's condom ad will trigger rapes, says left leader

New Delhi, Sep 3: A condom commercial featuring actress Sunny Leone will lead to more rapes, senior Left leader Atul Kumar Anjaan has warned in a video that appears to have been shot at a rally in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The video was uploaded onto YouTube by a channel called Khabar India.

manforce In his rather bizarre comments, the national secretary of the Communist Party of India or CPI accused the advertisement of "developing sexuality and ruining sensibilities." If people are allowed to watch this commercial, there will be a rise in rapes, he warned.

Sunny Leone, 34, starred in adult films before appearing on reality show Big Boss and making her Bollywood debut with the movie Jism 2 in 2012. Last year, she appeared in an advertisement for a brand of condoms called Manforce in December 2014. Her pre-Bollywood roles was also roundly slammed by Atul Kumar Anjaan in his speech.

Ms Leone could not be reached for comment.

The actress has also, separately, been accused in May this year of obscenity by a Mumbai woman who filed a First Information Report or FIR complaining that Ms Leone has posted pictures online that amount to circulating pornographic material.

This year, Ms Leone appeared in the films Ek Paheli Leela and Kuch Kuch Locha Hai. Her next film, the sex comedy Mastizaade, was recently cleared by the Censor Board.

Two Indian officials working at Indian Mission in Islamabad go missing

New Delhi, Jun 15: Two officials working with the Indian High Commission in Islamabad have reportedly gone missing, sources said.

The two officials are untraceable for the last few hours.

Recently news agency reported on how Pakistan 's spy agency ISI has been tailing and harassing Indian officials and also increased their presence at the residence of Acting High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia.

This incident came in the backdrop when two Pakistani officials were caught red-handed and sent back trying to collect classified information and spying in Delhi.

South block is watching the developments closely, the Indian mission has also launched a complaint with local authorities and taken up the matter Pakistan Foreign Ministry.

This incident can cause a further dip in the already tense India-Pakistan relations.

Earlier in the month, India deported two Pakistani officials for espionage activities in India.

With highest single-day spike of 32,695 cases, India's COVID-19 tally reaches 9,68,876

New Delhi, Jul 16: With the highest single-day spike of 32,695 cases and 606 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, India's COVID-19 tally on Thursday reached 9,68,876, informed the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday.

The total number of COVID-19 cases includes 3,31,146 active cases, 6,12,815 cured/discharged/migrated and 24,915 deaths.

As per the Ministry, Maharashtra -- the worst-affected state from the infection -- has a total of 2,75,640 COVID-19 cases and 10,928 fatalities. While Tamil Nadu has a tally of 1,51,820 cases and 2,167 deaths due to COVID-19.

Delhi has reported a total of 1,16,993 cases and 3,487 deaths due to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, as per the information provided by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 1,27,39,490 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till 15th July, of these 3,26,826 samples were tested yesterday.

Muslim population rose in India because they got 'special rights': Yogi Adityanath

Jan 15: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Tuesday that the Muslim population in India increased manifold since the partition because they were given special rights and facilities, according to a report by The Indian Express.

"The Muslim population in India has increased manifold since 1947, it has gone up by seven to eight times. No one has any objection. If they, as citizens of the country, work for development, they are welcome. Their population has increased because they have been given special rights and facilities. All possible steps were taken to ensure their growth," Adityanath said while addressing a rally in Gaya organised by the BJP in support of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

He asked the audience, "But what happened in Pakistan?" Claiming that the Hindu population in Pakistan had decreased since 1947, he asked why it was so.

Yogi said that the countrywide anti-CAA protests are a "conspiracy" hatched from afar by those resentful of a united and grand India and these are being aided by a "crooked" opposition. He further charged that those opposing the legislation were committing the "paap" (sin) of working against national interests.

"For taking such a step, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah deserve acclaim. Instead, they are being attacked", Yogi lamented.

He himself contradicts his statements. He claims the Muslim population rose 8-9 (according to him) times since 1947. If he was educated its simple 73 years have passed the population grows. Still, the Muslim population is only a minority against the majority. He talks about special rights and facilities given yes agreed but not by him it's by the Constitution of India and for all the minorities. So it's not you its Constitution of India. The majority of the people are against the act CAA is against the very fundamental of the Constitution of India which PM & HM are taking away from the people. If you disagree, disrespect, go against it then you are against the country itself in Hindi deshdruhi.
