Swiss doctorate conferred on Dr Kaup Mohamed

Dr. Kaup Mohamed, the Dean and Managing Director of the London American City College & its sister institutions (who hails from Kaup, Udupi District) and the Adjunct Professor of Madonna University, Michigan, USA has been conferred with a Swiss Doctorate in Education from the University of Business and International Studies (UBIS), Geneva, Switzerland. The UBIS University is accredited by Eduqua: Swiss Quality Certification and is also accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) which is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

The Board of Director of UBIS University Dr. Oksana Malysheva in the presence of Prof. Ryan Khaos and several other dignitaries, faculty members, staff members, students and the Guests congratulated Dr. Kaup on receiving his Doctorate in Education. Dr. Kaup was conferred with the Doctorate in Education in view of his remarkable contribution to the European Credits Accumulation System (ECTS) for the UBIS University in association with the London American City College. He has included an advance learning applications in the field of higher education, curriculum development and teaching and educational administration. Dr. Kaup has also created and demonstrated the effective applications of the program's theories and concepts. He has implemented effective research methodology for the purpose of managing the knowledge based organization and knowledge based students. He has also culminated the development of the internship within the institutional settings with innovation. Dr. Kaup presented a paper titled as "Recognition of Accredited Institutions: Problem Evaluation and Solutions" at the 22nd Annual Conference of European Council for Business Education scheduled in Moscow.
Dr. Kaup has contributed and researched immensely on knowledge management with a teaching experience of more than 26 years and Deanship for more than 19 years. Dr. Kaup has spent his whole life in academics, education and research. Dr. Kaup has won several awards in the field of management research and development, project research and development and is an excellent academician with immense research oriented knowledge.
Dr. Kaup Mohamed is the only one person in Beary community currently holding several Doctorates in various fields of study from India and abroad. Dr. Kaup has published several scholarly research articles and a thesis in strategic Management area and other allied areas of management. Dr. Kaup has visited several countries namely USA, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Austria, Macedonia, Singapore, Thailand, Spain, Russia, India, Australia, New Zealand, Srilanka, Turkey, etc. for delivering his lectures. Recently Dr. Kaup presented a research paper on "Recognition of Accredited Institutions: Problem evaluation and solutions" at the European Council for Business Education Conference in Moscow, Russia. Dr. Kaup has won several national and international awards. His current area of research interest is in Business Strategies, Operations & Production Management, Quality Management, Consumer Protection Law, Creative Problem Solving – A Total Systems Approach, Decision Making, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Business Project Management, Marketing, Strategies for Success, etc. His research paper on “Customer Relationship Management that aids in customer-centric processes” was published in “The Observer of Management Education” Journal. His latest publications including "Development of New Concepts and Purposes add value to CRM" etc. are featured in the International Journal of Management Research and Review, International Journal of Research in Commerce, Economics and Management in the area of strategic management, etc.

Riyadh: Cricket Lovers are all geared up for the newly launched franchise based tournament - Kingdom Premier League (KPL) 2020 under the banner of Mangaluru Cricket Association (MCA) Riyadh.

SAQCO –SAAD AL QAHTANI CONTRACTING is the Mega Sponsor for the event and PARAMOUNT is the CO Sponsor.

The 6-team tournament is being played at MCA Grounds on Exit 18 in Riyadh beginning from 14 Feb and shall end on 20 March.

The Opening ceremony took place on AL-Mas Restaurant in Riyadh. The trophy launching as well as Jersey launching took place at the same event. Guests from various companies including SAQCO were present.

All teams will play at least one league Match against every other team. Top 4 teams in the table will qualify to play for the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator. The Winner of Qualifier 1 will be heading towards the final and the 2nd finalist will be the winner Qualifier 2 (Played between loser of Qualifier 1 and Winner of Eliminator). The Finals will be played on 20th March.

Doha: Selvam aged 46 son of Subramanian hailing from Panakulam Village, Alangudi, Pudukkottai District in Tamilnadu province who worked as a technician, died in Qatar on April 24.

Due to challenging situation prevailing in both India & Qatar for body repatriation services, especially in Covid-19 atmosphere, Family is unable to progress further for past 2 months. At his stage Family of the deceased met Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), Pudukkottai office bearers and requested to intervene and help out, and also agreed to bury the body in Qatar itself.

Hence, SDPI delegates communicated with well-known Indian Expatriate welfare Organization - Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF). QISF General Secretary Basheer Ahamed, Secretary Abdullatheef Madikeri and team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation within a short period of time and arranged for a peaceful burial of Mr. Selvam in Dukhan cemetery.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.
