Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chief Dr G Parameshwara on Thursday said that there was nothing wrong in Siddaramaiah claiming that he will be the next chief minister.
Speaking to reporters at Kalaburagi, Parameshwara, who is also a CM aspirant, however said that the final decision would be taken in the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting.
He said that the government can go public with all the data of its achievements if necessary. The Congress will bring in the good times ('acche din'), he added.
Referring to the embarrassment caused to him by senior Congressman Vaijanath Patil who called Parameshwara a lackey, the latter said:
"Patil is a senior party colleague who was dissatisfied because his son did not get a ticket. It is not possible to give tickets to all. A meeting will be held to finalise list of contestants".
