Sydney, Oct 15: Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo, popular for his onscreen character the Hulk, says though he cannot sing and dance, he can do performance-oriented roles in Bollywood. Ruffalo, whose career spans about three decades in Hollywood and who has been seen in popular entertainers such as ‘Spotlight’, ‘Shutter Island’ and ‘The Kids Are All Right’, is in Sydney to promote his upcoming Marvel Studios film ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, which is set to hit the Indian screens on November 3.

Asked if the perception of Bollywood cinema being only about song and dance has changed, Ruffalo said in a round table conference, “I saw a cool Bollywood film… A tough guy thing where there are rival gangs…’Scarface’ characters… more like gangster character. I look forward to seeing what more Indian cinema can come up with.”

But would he like to be a part of one? “Why not? I can’t sing and dance very well, but I can do some of the straight roles,” he said. Ruffalo, 49, will be reprising the role of Bruce Banner/the Hulk in the Taika Waititi’s directorial.  ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ will see the characters Thor and Hulk battling for the first time. Ruffalo says he has been waiting for this for the past six years.

“It was great to smash him (Thor). I have been waiting for six years to smash him… It was really fun. People always want to see Thor and Hulk fight and I’ve got to do it in this one,” Ruffalo answered to a question from news agency. But Ruffalo said he wishes that a stand-alone film could be made on his angry green character.

“I’d love that, but that’s not going to happen because Universal (Universal Pictures) owns the rights to it,” Ruffalo said. The actor went to Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige to speak about the stand-alone Hulk movie. “I went to Kevin Feige and he brought me into this. He said ‘If you want to make a stand-alone Hulk movie, what would it be?’ I said ‘I’d like to do this…’, and he said ‘Let’s do that in ‘Thor 3’, ‘Avengers 3’ and ‘Avengers 4’, we will spread it across over those three movies,” said the actor.

Apart from being a part of the superhero genre, Ruffalo has worked in several movies including ‘Begin Again’, “Normal Heart” and “Just Like Heaven”. How does he balance between different genres? “It’s just more fun. I get bored very easily. So, for me to keep it interesting I like to do different kind of movies,” he said.

The actor says that he would like to do theatre more. “I’d love too (do more theatre work). One good thing about these movies is that it allows me to do these little things that I love,” Ruffalo said.

Washington, Jul 16: Actor Chris Evans, better known as 'Captain America', made a six-year-old boy's day by sending him a personalised video message lauding his heroic act of saving his younger sister from a dog attack.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the aunt of the young boy (Bridger Walker from Cheyenne) posted on Instagram the story of how the boy saved his sister on July 9 and was horribly injured in the process.

She shared the story on the photo-sharing platform on Sunday and also posted few photos featuring the brother-sister duo as well as pictures of the injuries on Walker's face.

"After receiving 90 stitches (give or take) from a skilled plastic surgeon, he's finally resting at home," wrote the aunt (Nikki Walker).
"We love our brave boy and want all the other superheroes to know about this latest hero who joined their ranks," she added.

Moved by the young boy's story, Evans made a direct video message appreciating the boy for what he did, and how he is no less than a superhero.

He also promised to send the young kid an authentic 'Captain America' shield as a reward for his selfless, heroic act.

Evans' video message to the young boy was shared by the aunt on her Instagram profile.
In the video, Evans is saying, "Pal, you're a hero, what you did was so brave, so selfless -- your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother.

Your parents must be so proud of you," Evans said in a video message that the family shared Wednesday. "Keep being the man you are, we need people like you. Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough, but based on what I've seen, I don't think there's much that can slow you down."

Towards the end, the 39-year-old actor told the boy he was sending the 'Captain America' shield to him, as the world needs more bravehearts like the little boy.

Los Angeles, May 24: Filmmaker Frank Marshall, one of the producers behind Jurassic World: Dominion, says the forthcoming film is not a conclusion of the franchise.

Colin Trevorrow, who rebooted Steven Spielberg's blockbuster Jurassic Park franchise with 2015's Jurassic World, is back on the director's chair after sitting out on second movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018).

Asked about the upcoming movie, Marshall told Collider: "It's the start of a new era."

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are coming back for the third film, which will also feature original stars of 1993's Jurassic Park -- Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.

The producer also revealed how he sees the film franchise extending into the future.

"The dinosaurs are now on the mainland amongst us, and they will be for quite some time, I hope," Marshall said.

The film was three weeks into production when it was shut down over coronavirus concerns, but the producer said the team has the sets built in London and will be "back in business" once they have guidelines from the British government.

Dominion is still slated to be released on its scheduled date of June 11, 2021.
