Three self-styled Hindutva activists held for thrashing college boys and girls at Pilikula

Mangaluru, Jan 2: Hours after a group of communal rowdies thrashed a few college students belonging to different faiths at Pilikula in Mangaluru taluk on Tuesday, the police arrested three of the assailants.

The arrested have been identified as Sampath Shetty, Varada and Dinesh – all said to be local residents. All of them are said to be self-styled Hindutva activists.

Two girls of first PU- a Hindu and a Christian- and two boys belonging to different communities were thrashed by the miscreants for being together at Manasa Amusement and Water Park at Pilikula.

Later the parents of the Christian girl lodged a complaint with the jurisdictional Kavoor police station. Based on this complaint the cops managed to arrest three miscreants and booked them under section 341, 342, 324, 506, 509, 355, 153 (A), R/W 74 (1) JJ Act.

These three people should be treated in the same way as Mr tejpal has been treated in Goa. They should not be able to come out for long time. This can be possible only if our MP will not intevene.

Hope some day people like MR. ANNAMALAI wil come to iur city and take some action againts such dhanda pinda mooji kaas dha bele ijandima goondas.. Thekk nikilna moneg, Naachige ijjandina Jobless luchas.. Yedde aapuji ya nakul, nikleng popi kaala ya.. Until and unless POLICE FORCE doesnt take any action, mukul sudharujeer.. .. Nikulna moneg chappal podi manpodu ya... i wonder these bele ijjandina people, parre olpadh kaas ya nikleg, pardh podhu yer yereg haakunu.. Gumpu gumpu aadh podhu haakunu, oriye oriye popujjer. . Hope 1 day public will unite wen such incident occur in future, and these goons a lesson..

Madikeri, Jan 17: Kannada and Telugu actor Rashmika Mandanna is likely to be further interrogated by Income Tax (I-T) officials on Friday.

The residence and properties by the family of Rashmika were raided by I-T officials on Thursday morning. Following summons issued by I-T officials, Rashmika rushed to her residence on Thursday night and gave details on investments and other financial transactions.

After the interrogation, the I-T officials left for Serenity hall, which is owned by Rashmika's father, at Virajpet at around 2.30 am and stayed back there.

The I-T officials have reportedly directed Rashmika and her father Madan Mandanna not to leave the house.

Bengaluru, May 3: Karnataka Education Minister S Suresh Kumar on Saturday said that those who want to travel from other states to Karnataka and vice-versa must register on 'Sevasindhu' website.

"Those who want to travel from other states to Karnataka and from Karnataka to other states must register on 'Sevasindhu' website, then all intimation will be shared from the government side," Kumar said.

Karnataka Health Department on Saturday said that three deaths and 12 new COVID-19 cases were reported in last 24 hours in the state.

According to the Health Department, the total number of coronavirus positive cases in the state is now 601. 271 patients have either been cured or discharged. The virus has killed 25 people so far in the state.

Mangaluru, Mar 11: Nitte Education Trust is among the top 50 reputed institutions in the country selected by NITI Aayog for setting up Atal Incubation Centre under Union government's Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) scheme.

NITI Aayog has sanctioned Rs 9 Crore to Nitte Education Trust for setting up a full-fledged Incubation Centre at Nitte, of which Rs 2.5 crores has been received as first instalment according to a press release here on Wednesday.

Atal Incubation Centre- Nitte provides start-ups with valuable guidance, technological aid, access to investors, networking and facilitating a host of other services required for start-ups to survive and scale.
