Treasure hunt held during Mangalore Physiocon 2018

Mangaluru, Jan 14: As a part of Mangalore Physiocon 2018, a treasure hunt was organised at Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy in the city on Sunday, January 14 

Mr. Nidhish Shetty , Vice Chairman Shree Devi Education Trust inaugurated the treasure hunt. Addressing the gathering he said he has never come across such an event before and he found it very interesting. And wished all the participants good luck.

Mrs. Maina Shetty Secretary Shree Devi Education Trust was  guests of honour. Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, Organizing Chairman welcomed the gathering.

Treasure Hunt was flagged of by Mr. Nidhish Shetty , Vice Chairman Shree Devi Education Trust and End point was YMC Mangalore. 

The treasure hunt is a fun game for the physiotherapy students in which they have to find a treasure hidden by the organizing committee in city. Around 52 Physio  with two-wheeler participated in the event. The competition was held in both boys and girls categories.

Dr Mohd Suhail, Convenor , Dr ajay, Dr Vaishali, Dr Kaleem, Dr Yasir, Dr Lavanya, Dr Disha, Dr Rekha and Organising committee was present there. Dr Sarath C , proposed the vote of thanks.

Uppinangady, Feb 16: Eleven people were injured, when a private bus in which they were travelling, toppled near Kodikal on Sunday, police said.

According to Police, more than 20 people were travelling in the bus towards Puttur from Sakleshpur when the mishap took place.

All the inmates were on their way to attend a wedding.

Udupi/Mangaluru, Mar 1: A total of twenty leaplings were born in the hospitals of the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada (DK) districts on Saturday, February 29, district health department said on Sunday.

According to the district health department, sixteen babies were born in DK district while Udupi district saw four births. More boys than girls were born in DK (12–4) and it was the inverse in Udupi district (3–1).

Mangaluru, Jul 12: No decision has been taken regarding re-imposition of complete lockdown in Dakshina Kannada, according to district in charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary. 

The minister's clarification comes following social media rumours about complete lockdown in the district from July 14 to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Speaking to media persons, Mr Poojary said that chief minister will hold video conference with Deputy Commissioners, MPs and District ministers of the state on July 13 at 11 am. following which a decision will be taken. 

He also clarified that the government will not cause inconveniences to people by taking any such decision all of a sudden. "People should not pay heed to rumours," he said.
