Udupi, Nov 23: The coastal city of Udupi is all set to host three-day Dharma Sansad, an international level conference of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) from November 24 to 26. It would be inaugurated by Shivakumar Mahaswami of Siddaganga Mutt, Tumakuru, and Veerasomeshwara Rajadesikendra Shivacharya Swami, Ramabhapuri, at the Royal Gardens, here at 10 a.m. on Friday.

According to Pejawar mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swami religious and traditional issues would be focused in the three-day conference. Core issues are Ayodhya, the ban on cattle slaughter and the conservation of Hinduism.

The seer said that as the issue of Ram Mandir is in court, there could be a possibility of the Central government and the Uttar Pradesh government, which is run by BJP, passing a Bill in favour of the temple.

He said, although, the country is in the third position in the export of beef, there is a need to stop cattle slaughter completely, adding that the demand to ban cattle slaughter is not new. It exists since many decades. Even during the Morarji Desai government in 1977, Vinobha Bhave demanded a ban on cow slaughter and held an indefinite hunger strike. However, there are no fruitful results for any of the protests carried out in the past.

He said the seer said that the occasion would be purely the conglomeration of Hindu saints. The seers belonging to Sikh, Buddhist, Jains and Lingayats communities will be attending the conference. Vishwa Hindu Parishat always considers all the 'dharmas' introduced by the seers in the country as a fraction of Hinduism. It is a wonderful occasion to celebrate Hinduism and protect it from the evils of untouchability and conversion, he added.

He said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will attend the conference. As many as 2,000 saints have been approached. The seer of Siddaganga Mutt Dr Shivakumar Swami will attend the inaugural ceremony.

Meanwhile, the Dharma Samsad organising committee has informed that Union minister Uma Bharati and Sadhvi Niranjana would be participating, while Sri Sri Ravishankar and Manthralaya seer Sri Shubhudendra Theertha will participate from the Day One. VHP leader Praveen Togadia, Ashok Chowgle, Raghav Reddy, Sampath Roy will participate. The 12th Dharma Samsad will be inaugurated on November 24.

The demand to make temple administration free of government control and also problems like population explosion will be discussed. In the 1969 Dharma Samsad, the main agenda was of harmony among various sects and castes in Hinduism. A podium will also be named after Narayana Guru, the seer from backward class.

Hindu Vaibhav, an expo on the various cultural and traditional facts of Hinduism, will be displayed and inaugurated on November 23.

The real issue. The hindu women are left behind because of umatched kundli. There is no job for hindu youngsters. Basic needs are high price. Only upper caste will make speech and lower caste will fight with the public where uppercaste portray the innocents as enemies of the religion. It is so easy for upper caste to make play when people listen to them and ask them to attack the innocent , who doesnt use the god given intellect and logic. The more these people fall into their trap the more they can make U play on their orders... Wake up public go with right and look for the basics in the life for job, food and other useful requirement.

Newsroom, Apr 29: Abdul Rahman Al Sudais, the imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah has hinted that Muslims will be allowed to perform prayers again at the holiest mosque after a few days.

Al Sudais, who is also the president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, predicted this while answering a question from a reporter about the possibility of having worshippers gather again at the mosque.

He said that soon people will be allowed to return to the mosque for prayers and for circumambulation around the holy Kaaba.

The authorities care about people more than anything else, he said. "All Muslims should pray to Allah to help us through this pandemic. People must be careful and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and others," he added.

Bengaluru, Apr 16: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr Ashwath Narayan today said that if former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, being a law-abiding citizen, does not follow guidelines then action will be taken against him.

The Deputy CM made this comment when he was asked about Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil's marriage, which has been fixed on April 17 at a farmhouse near Bidadi in Ramnagar.

Narayan said: "Any violation of the guidelines will not be tolerated. We will ask the concerned authority to film the entire event and document it."

He said that so far Kumaraswamy has made public statements that guidelines will be followed.

"HD Kumaraswamy is a people's representative. He has been in public life for a long time. He should abide by the guidelines," Narayan said.

"Since he has been in a responsible position for a long time and he was the Chief Minister, guidelines must be followed in his son's marriage as per the rules amid COVID-19 scare.

After the marriage, there must not be any excuses. He cannot say that people came without an invitation," the Deputy Chief Minister added.

Kumaraswamy clarified that only his family members will attend the marriage and that there will be around 60 to 70 people.

"All guidelines will be followed as per the central government directives," he said.

The Karnataka BJP, which faced action on Twitter earlier this month over incendiary tweets, this time has passed the blame of Sangh Parivar sponsored Delhi violence to the victims.

In an insensitive tweet on Friday, it dubbed the protests against the notorious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) as "fake" and added that the violence that followed was "the most well-planned assault on the Idea of India," in an apparent attempt to portray the victims as villains.

The handle, notorious for tweets targeting Muslims, blamed the clashes that erupted in Delhi between people demonstrating for and against the CAA on "so called 'Peacefuls'" - a known right-wing slur for Muslims.

Many people on social media called out the tweet for misleading people and covering up the role of Delhi BJP leader Kapil Mishra's provocative speech for triggering the violence or the failure of the Delhi Police, which reports to the former BJP chief and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in controlling the riots.

Earlier this month, the Karnataka BJP had tweeted a video of Muslim women standing in queue to vote in the Delhi elections, showing their voter ID cards, with the snarky caption: "Keep the documents safe, you will need to show them again during NPR (National Population Register) exercise."

Soon after, the party unit's Twitter handle was blocked by the social media platform for 24 hours after many accused it of encouraging Islamophobia.

NPR has been widely criticised by opposition parties as a precursor to the government's planned NRC or National Register of Citizens which intends to make Indians prove their citizenship with documents that many poor or illiterate do not possess.

Many fear that combined with the already imposed CAA - which promises citizenship to only non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh - the NRC can be used to make millions of Muslims stateless.

The government has denied the allegation and said the CAA only intends to help those who have faced religious persecution. In recent weeks, it has gone back on its rhetoric on the NRC which was announced by Amit Shah in parliament as "it will certainly happen".

The CAA, which was cleared by parliament in December, has triggered deadly protests in the country which left at least 25 dead till Sunday. Since then, at least 42 more people have been killed as large-scale violence erupted in northeast Delhi and hundreds of homes and shops have been burned to the ground.
