Mangaluru, May 24: Nearly a month after he was chosen as the president of the management committee of the Ullal Juma Masjid and Sayyid Madani Dargah, Abdul Rasheed Haji Ullal has once again proved his majority.

A peace meeting was held at Thakwa Masjid in the city between the members belonging to two groups of Dargah committee on Monday morning under the leadership of AP Aboobakar Ustad, the general secretary of All India Sunni Jam-Iyyathul Ulema.

The meeting was the result of a dialogue between leaders of both groups initiated by UT Khader, the health and family welfare minister, who is also the local MLA

In the meeting Rasheed Haji Ullal claimed that he had clear majority as 26 of the 49 members in the committee supported him. UT Khader, AP Ustad, DK Wakf advisory committee president SM Rashid Haji, Hyder Parthipady, Kanachur Monu, Shafi Saadi, Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi among others were present in the meeting.

AP Ustad asked the president to prove his majority on the same day. Accordingly, a meeting was held in the evening at Ullal Dargah, where Rasheed Haji Ullal proved his majority.

However, AP Ustad said that the election of the new president would be formally announced by Sayyid Koorath Thangal, the Khazi of Ullal, who will return from Umrah pilgrimage on May 26.

In fact, Rasheed Haji Ullal was elected president of the committee on April 26 in a formal meeting, which was boycotted by a few members backed by Ullal Khazi. On the same day, Ullal Khazi had organised a separate meeting and declared his favourite candidate Bukhari as the new president. This had resulted in a clash between followers of two groups.

Its clear that good leaders never support Shirk.
The criminal leaders only will support the shirk.
All the leaders in the shirk committee are only criminals.

All problem was created by AP fraction under the support of Ullal Kazi Khoora Thangal.
Khoora Thangal failed to act fairly even knowing who has majority instead he appointed Bukhari who is involved in many criminal activity as President of darga.
Now Khoora Thangal have no right to continue as Khazi he should resign immediately and ask forgiveness from Allah

Managluru, May 15: Kannadigas in Saudi Arabia deserve more attention from the government amidst covid-19 crisis as they remit huge amount of money to their home state and ultimately get no benefit, opined U T Khader, Mangaluru MLA.

The former minister held a video conference with stranded Kannadigas in Saudi Arabia on May 15 and assured to do his best to convince the Centre to operate more repatriation flights from Saudi Arabia to Karnataka.

He also said that he would urge the chief minister of Karnataka to announce a separate rehabilitation package for Indian expatriates who have lost their jobs in Gulf countries amidst covid-19 lockdown.

Mr Khader also interacted with two medical emergency patients and promised them to inform the Indian embassy in Riyadh to facilitate their homeward journey via Dammam-Bengaluru flight in the second phase of Vande Bharat Mission.

Mr Khader expressed regret over the inept handling of passengers from Dubai at Mangaluru International Airport on May 12 and said that next batch of passengers would not face such problems on arrival.

Bengaluru, Jan 30: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who reached the national capital on Thursday, said he will discuss the much-awaited Ministry expansion with the BJP high command.

"It's been long that I visited Delhi. I will meet the party national president J P Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah and take their suggestions on the cabinet expansion," Yediyurappa told reporters.

The chief minister said he will also call on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and discuss about development issues related to Karnataka.

Yediyurappa has been anxiously waiting for the high command's nod to expand his ministry amid intense lobbying by the aspirants.

Opposition parties have been critical of the BJP and Yediyurappa over the delay in cabinet expansion, alleging that he was weak and that the administration had collapsed.

As the chief minister has already made it clear that 11 of the disqualified JDS-Congress MLAs who got re-elected in the bypolls on BJP tickets will be made ministers, lobbying has been on in the party for the remaining ministerial berths.

Currently, there are 18 Ministers, including the chief minister in the cabinet that has a sanctioned strength of 34. Sixteen berths are vacant.
