Bengaluru, Jan 30: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today alleged that the Union government is showing step motherly attitude towards the State Government by releasing only Rs 950 crores towards drought relief works.
"The State had asked for Rs 2,500 Crore under Natural Disaster Relief Fund, but the Centre has allotted only Rs 950 Crore, while Maharashtra has been given Rs 4500 Crore whereas we got very less amount," he added.
Mangaluru, Jun 21: A total of 51 private hospitals and medical colleges empanelled under the Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust (SAST) have been allowed to treat Covid-19 patients in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district. Among them 30 are in Dakshina Kannada and 21 are in Udupi. Here is the full list:

Mangaluru, Aug 7: A youth died on the spot in a ghastly road mishap on Netravati Bridge near Thokkottu on the outskirts of the city today evening.
Police sources said that the face of the youth, who was riding a motorbike, has been damaged beyond recognition. He died on the spot.
More details about the mishap are yet to be known. A case has been registered at Mangaluru Traffic police station.
New Delhi, Feb 12: Senior Karnataka BJP leader Umesh Katti, who has been left out of the latest cabinet expansion, on Wednesday met party president Jagat Prakash Nadda over the issue.
On Tuesday, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa allotted portfolios to 10 newly inducted ministers. The leader was sulking after he was left out from the cabinet.
According to sources, Katti urged JP Nadda to consider his seniority in the party and give him a ministerial berth.
Earlier, Yeddyurappa had announced that Umesh Katti would be given a place in the state cabinet, but his name was dropped from the list of ministers at the last moment.
According to sources, Umesh Katti also urged Nadda for a Rajya Sabha berth for his brother Ramesh Katti.
