Veteran Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman, who has worked in several notable films in the 70s and the 80s and mesmerised movie buffs with her spectacular performances, has filed a complaint against businessman Amar Khanna.

The 66-year-old popular actress of her time, who had shot to fame with films like ‘Hare Rama, Hare Krishna’, ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’, ‘Heera Panna’, ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’, ‘Don’, among others, has been allegedly harassed by a 38-year-old man on WhatsApp.

The complaint has been registered under Sections 304 D (stalking) and 509 (insulting modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.

According to news agency, the actress has filed a molestation and stalking complaint against Amar Khanna at the Juhu police station. In her complaint, the actress said that Khanna molested her over the past few months and misbehaved with her.

Reports suggest that the actress and the businessman were good friends; however, the relationship had soured over a couple of fights and disagreements following which she stopped talking to Amar Khanna. Nevertheless, the businessman allegedly kept calling and following her.

According to the police, the accused would allegedly harass her by continuously sending objectionable messages and other media content on her Whatsapp mobile number and would force her to interact with him. Also, he would threaten Aman that if she refuses to speak with him then her son will face dire consequences.

Parambr Singh Dahiya, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 9, in a statement, said, “He was harassing the actress on Whatsapp since January 25 and would send her objectionable videos and photos. Even after warning him, the accused did not stop and continued the act. The actress then approached us and lodged the complaint.” “The accused had also created a ruckus outside the residence of the actress during the night,” added the cop.

Amar Khanna is said to be absconding at the moment. Parambr Singh further said, “We have registered a case under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and Information Technology act. The accused has not been arrested yet and our probe is on.” Watch this space for further updates.

Los Angeles, May 24: Hollywood star Salma Hayek says her daughter Valentina Pinault is a talented 12 year old who wants to be a director and star as a lead in a film one day.

The Oscar-nominated actor shares Valentina with husband, French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault.

Hayek said she has confidence in her daughter's abilities and believes she has a long way to go.

"She has so many talents. She draws, she wants to shoot movies - both as a director and as the lead - and she writes great pieces. Sometimes when I read her work, I have an urge to produce these stories.

"But she tells me that she will do it by herself when she's older. I don't know what's coming next for her but it seems that she has a lot of ways to go," the actor told HELLO! magazine.

Hayek, 53, added she is concerned about Valentina who has always lived a sheltered life.

"Valentina has always done what she wanted, I've never made her do anything and this means she hasn't yet learned how to oppose pressure, how to overcome obstacles.

"I know by experience that only the overcoming of some difficulties can lead you in the right direction," she said.

Chennai, Jan 15: Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday called for neutrality in journalism and urged media outlets to report the truth.

Addressing an event organised by Tamil magazine ''Thuglak' in Chennai, the superstar-turned-politician said that the country needs a journalist like the late Cho S Ramaswamy, who helmed the publication for decades.

"The times, politics and society are going bad. In such a scenario, the media had a huge responsibility towards the people," he said.

Some television channels are biased towards political parties, Rajinikanth said. He added that media, critics and journalists must report the truth impartially.

Comparing true news to milk and fake reportage to water, Rajinikanth said people will not be able to distinguish between the two if they are mixed.

"Only journalists need to tell which portion is milk and which is water...write the truth and don't make a lie seem like truth," he said, amid applause.
