Chikkamagaluru, Jan 7: Karnataka Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy regretted on Sunday that all murders in the state were being a communal colour.
Speaking to media persons here, Mr Reddy said political parties and leaders were responsible for the violence in Dakshina Kannada district.
“Whenever a Hindu is murdered, BJP leaders claim that the person belongs to Bajrang Dal and that the killers are Muslims. Their only intention is political gains in next elections,” Mr Reddy said.
The minister said organisations like the Bajrang Dal, Sriram Sene and PFI were destroying communal harmony in the state. He said the family of Basheer, who died in a attack by miscreants just like Deepak Rao, would be given a compansation of Rs 10 lakh.
