Mangaluru, Mar 10: A wild elephant entered the National Highway 75 at the Shiradi Ghat section yesterday triggering panic among motorists.
A Forest Department official said that the tusker was seen crossing the national highway at about 3 p.m. The tusker did not damage any vehicles operating on the national highway or property.
The elephant did not cause any damage to any farm land near Gundia. It must have gone inside the forests using the Kempu Hole, according to Forest guards.
