Will launch 'new mission' after cabinet formation in Karnataka: Vijayvargiya

Jaipur, Jul 29: Commenting on the current political situation in Madhya Pradesh, BJP's national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya here on Sunday said a "new mission" will be launched after the cabinet formation in Karnataka, where the Congress-JD(S) alliance lost the confidence motion recently.

"After the formation of the cabinet in Karnataka, a new mission will be started. It is not our wish to make a government fall but Congress MLAs have uncertainty in themselves, he told reporters when questioned about the Congress-ruled Madhya Pradesh.

The MP leader said the Congress MLAs had no confidence in their leadership and were marred by division.

Therefore, they felt that the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was very good, he added.

The BJP leader further said the Congress and its governments were falling "due to their own works".

During his visit to the BJP office here, he held a meeting with party leaders and workers and also listened to PM's Mann ki Baat.

"New mission" meaning "horse trading". BJP is Number one in this trade as they have crores of rupees in the party account received as bribe from industrialists in exchange of tax benefit to them. Now BJP will offer crorers to other party MLAs in MP to get majority and topple Congress Govt. BJP is ready to go any level for power.

Shwetha Rasquinha conferred doctorate by Mangalore University

Mangaluru, Jan 2: Shwetha Rasquinha, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Social Work, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree by the Mangalore University for her thesis titled “Effectiveness of Social work intervention on caretakers of cancer patients- A social work study in Mangalore”.

She did her studies under the guidance of Dr Rameela Shekhar, Professor (Rtd), School of Social work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru.

Ms Shwetha Rasquinha hails from Vittal, D/o Vincent Rasquinha and Late Regina Rasquinha, and is the second person to complete doctoral studies from the Vittal Parish.

Her colleagues and well-wishers have congratulated her for her highest achievement in academics and successful completion of quality research.

New findings: Over 100 sculptures recovered in Mysuru

Mysuru, Jan 5: The ongoing pilot project on documentation of all unprotected monuments in Mysuru taluk has yielded significant results with over 100 sculptures recovered from the rural hinterland.

Launched by the Karnataka Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, the project will help map and document the number of monuments in the Taluk. Based on their importance, they will be added to the protected list.

Sources in the Archaeology department said so far the team has completed mapping of monuments in two Hoblis--Varuna and Jayapura.

Another woman from Bantwal tested positive for coronavirus; 19th case in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, Apr 26: Yet another covid-19 positive case has been reported from Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.

Health and Family Welfare Department's latest bulletin revealed that a 47-year-old woman from Panemangaluru in Bantwal was tested positive for the coronavirus.

With this the total number of covid-19 infected people in Dakshina Kannada rose to 19 out of which 7 are from Bantwal taluk.

According to sources, this woman was working as a sweeper in a private hospital in the city where a coronavirus victim from Bantwal was being treated before she was shifted to covid-19 hospital.
