Will launch 'new mission' after cabinet formation in Karnataka: Vijayvargiya

Jaipur, Jul 29: Commenting on the current political situation in Madhya Pradesh, BJP's national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya here on Sunday said a "new mission" will be launched after the cabinet formation in Karnataka, where the Congress-JD(S) alliance lost the confidence motion recently.

"After the formation of the cabinet in Karnataka, a new mission will be started. It is not our wish to make a government fall but Congress MLAs have uncertainty in themselves, he told reporters when questioned about the Congress-ruled Madhya Pradesh.

The MP leader said the Congress MLAs had no confidence in their leadership and were marred by division.

Therefore, they felt that the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was very good, he added.

The BJP leader further said the Congress and its governments were falling "due to their own works".

During his visit to the BJP office here, he held a meeting with party leaders and workers and also listened to PM's Mann ki Baat.

Comments

"New mission" meaning "horse trading". BJP is Number one in this trade as they have crores of rupees in the party account received as bribe from industrialists in exchange of tax benefit to them. Now BJP will offer crorers to other party MLAs in MP to get majority and topple Congress Govt. BJP is ready to go any level for power.

19 Uttara Kannada students brought back from MP

Sirsi, May 3: A group of 19 students from the district were on Saturday safety brought back to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) at Malagi in Mundgod taluk by special buses from Madhya Pradesh.

The students were admitted to the JNV, Junapani, Bhopal district, for class 9 this academic year. They were kept at a hostel since March 22.

They could not leave for the state as train services were suspended before they were ready for the travel. Hence, they were kept at the local hostel.

Based on requests by parents, Labour Minister Shivaram Hebbar, directed the chief secretary to get in touch with the Madhya Pradesh government to bring back the students.

Hebbar, who visited the JNV, said that the students would be sent to their homes in two days after medical tests.

According to the JNV authorities, the decision was taken to bring back the students as their parents were worried. The students were safe at the JNV, Junapani and all facilities were provided to them at the hostel.

Schoolchildren dig well in Dakshina Kannada to combat water crisis

Mangaluru, Apr 23: The scarcity of water in Kukkavu area of Belthangady town in Dakshina Kannada district has forced school-going children to dig a well with their hands.
The children studying in primary schools were seen lifting the heavy buckets of water from the well.

The residents were facing the water shortage from the past couple of days, amid the coronavirus lockdown.
A group of five adolescents managed to dug the well as deep as 12 feet within just a span of four days.

" We are facing water problem now. With the support of my five more friends, we dug this well. At the beginning we just found soil, then in the deeper layers, we also found stones. We got access to the water at 10 feet down," said Dhanush, a class 9th student, while speaking to news agency.

The shortage of water during the summer months is a perennial problem in across several states in India, and the growing population has only added to the woes.

In extreme conditions, poor have to draw water from small water holes.

These private hospitals in Mangaluru and Udupi can now treat covid patients

Mangaluru, Jun 21: A total of 51 private hospitals and medical colleges empanelled under the Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust (SAST) have been allowed to treat Covid-19 patients in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district. Among them 30 are in Dakshina Kannada and 21 are in Udupi. Here is the full list:
