Will launch 'new mission' after cabinet formation in Karnataka: Vijayvargiya

Jaipur, Jul 29: Commenting on the current political situation in Madhya Pradesh, BJP's national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya here on Sunday said a "new mission" will be launched after the cabinet formation in Karnataka, where the Congress-JD(S) alliance lost the confidence motion recently.

"After the formation of the cabinet in Karnataka, a new mission will be started. It is not our wish to make a government fall but Congress MLAs have uncertainty in themselves, he told reporters when questioned about the Congress-ruled Madhya Pradesh.

The MP leader said the Congress MLAs had no confidence in their leadership and were marred by division.

Therefore, they felt that the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was very good, he added.

The BJP leader further said the Congress and its governments were falling "due to their own works".

During his visit to the BJP office here, he held a meeting with party leaders and workers and also listened to PM's Mann ki Baat.

"New mission" meaning "horse trading".  BJP is Number one in this trade as they have crores of rupees in the party account received as bribe from industrialists in exchange of tax benefit to them.   Now BJP will offer crorers to other party MLAs in MP to get majority and topple Congress Govt.   BJP is ready to go any level for power.

Mangaluru, Feb 19: The Plenary Assembly of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) of the Latin Church elected Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore, Karnataka, as the new Chairman of the CCBI Commission for Liturgy.

The Conference also elected 26 Bishops of the CCBI to participate in the three-week Golden Jubilee Conference of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC) to be held in November 2020 at Bangkok in Thailand. The one day meeting of the CCBI discussed various matters affecting the Latin Catholic Church in India, which consists of 132 dioceses and 190 Bishops.

The CCBI animates the Church in India through its 16 Commissions and 4 Departments. Its main Secretariat is in Bangalore with extensions in Goa, Delhi and Pachmarhi (MP).

The Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) which is the Canonical National Episcopal Conference is the largest in Asia and the fourth largest in the world.

Mangaluru, May 13: Dakshina Kannada today recorded its fourth death due to novel coronavirus.

The victim, identified by number P-536, is a 58-year-old woman from Boloor area of Manglauru. She was tested covid-19 positive on April 30. 

A patient with TB meningitis, the woman had been treated and discharged from Mangaluru’s First Neuro Hospital, which has emerged as covid-19 hub of coastal Karnataka.

In hospital she had reportedly come in contact with patient No 501 who worked as a sweeper in the same hospital. 

With this death, the number of active covid-19 cases reduced to 16 in Dakshina Kannada. The district has so far reported 34 covid-19 cases including four deaths. 14 have been discharged.

Belagavi, Mar 14: After the first COVID-19 related death reported in the state, less number of people are travelling in North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) buses, official sources said here.

There were less number of travellers on Saturday as compared to any other day.

According to sources, many passengers cancelled their reservations to major cities like Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Goa and Kalaburagi too.
