Mangaluru, Dec 31: A day before the New Year celebration begins, Dr PS Harsha, Mangaluru Police Commissioner issued an advisory to the party and celebration organisers to ensure public safety and maintain law and order on New Year’s eve.
In the advisory the Police Commissioner has directed hotels, resorts and other private entities to acquire adequate permissions from all the departments including the police department before organizing any parties and celebrations. He has further directed the organisers to wind up the parties and celebration by 12:05 am with an exemption of another fifteen minutes for dispersal of the crowd.
He has urged the organisers to possess written permission from all the concerned departments including excise and police during the parties and to adhere by all the instructions and directions by all the respective departments.
