Yeddyurappa completely embodied with self-centered politics: Dinesh Gundu Rao

Kalaburagi, May 8: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dinesh Gundu Rao strongly criticized BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa and alleged that " he (Yeddyurappa) is completely embodied with self-centred politics forgetting all kinds of ethics and rules, his only aim to become Chief Minister once again".

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that " Yeddyurappa completely incarnate with his selfishness and for him his self gain is more important than the State or his Party development".

The KPCC Chief also comedown heavily on former Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa style of politics and said that he has last his mental balance and not giving respect even to women and elders.

Bengaluru, Feb 8: The Department of Religious Endowments in Karnataka will undertake 'Ratha Yatras' in 110 major temples of the state, in order to inform the public about mass marriages, scheduled to be held on April 26.

The publicity campaign through Rath Yatra will be flagged off from Mookambika temple in Kollur of Udupi district from February 13.

The mass marriage programme 'Saptapadi,' would be held in 100 major temples of Muzrai department. The second phase would be held on May 24, Minister for Ports, Fisheries and Muzrai Kota Srinivas Poojary told newspersons here on Friday.

Bengaluru, Apr 19:  Karnataka's Technical Education department following Union Home Ministry’s guidelines, on Sunday directed all its colleges not to use the Zoom application to conduct online classes during the ongoing lockdown period.

Considering Union Home Ministry's advisory that Zoom app is not safe, the department has taken the decision and issued a circular asking all government, aided and unaided engineering, polytechnic (Diploma) colleges to stop using the app immediately.

The department recommended the use of a free app developed by TCS: "TCS iON Digital class room" or any other App recommended by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to conduct the online classes.

Udupi, May 30: A total of 45 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients, including 17 children were discharged after recovery from the designated hospital in Udupi.

This comes as a big relief amid the rising number of cases in the district.

A total of 164 cases has been confirmed in the district so far.
